We are on the lookout for a seasoned Cloud Technical Consultant to come join our Managed Services team in a post-sales consulting role. You will play a pivotal role in driving customer retention and cloud adoption across a portfolio of high value clients.
You will articulate and show case the value of managed services to your clients, as well as build and maintain exceptionally strong and loyal working relationships with them.
You will ensure cloud best practices are adopted, help them to optimise cloud costs using insights from our proprietary systems, improve their infrastructure resilience and security posture, and ultimately ensure every aspect of our managed services delivery is clearly understood, valued, and aligned with their business goals.
Collaborating closely with different customer stakeholders, internal technology leads, service delivery managers, project managers, and many other parts of our business, you will consolidate a broad set of operational, service delivery, and project related updates, and professionally present this to each of your customers as part of the regular monthly governance cadence.
This position requires you to display a deep understanding of cloud technologies along with highly developed communication and consultancy capabilities to engage and built trust with senior IT executives.
The Person
You will have a strong understanding of the cloud adoption value proposition and acutely aware of the common challenges our customers are facing such as delivery quality, cost management, security risks, and the constantly evolving technology landscape.
You would have the expertise and experience to tackle the below responsibilities with little fuss.
Client Relationship Management:
Cultivate and maintain strong, long-term relationships with existing and new clients, understanding their cloud roadmaps, and ensuring our managed service team is providing a solution that meets their needs.
Metrics and Reporting:
Track, analyse, and report on key governance items. Own the monthly technical governance process and present to the client all the relevant service updates and insights.
Cost Optimisation:
Analyse the client's Azure usage and expenditure to identify opportunities for optimisation.
Recommend strategies such as rightsizing resources, leveraging reserved instances, and implementing cost management best practices.
Maintain Security Posture:
Conduct a comprehensive security assessment of the client's cloud environment using tools like Azure Security Centre and Azure Advisor. Identify security vulnerabilities, misconfigurations, and compliance gaps.
Implement remediation measures to enhance the client's secure score and strengthen their overall security posture. Provide guidance on implementing security best practices, including identity and access management, network security, encryption, and threat detection.
- Proven experience as a senior engineer or technical consultant within a managed services environment
- 10+ years senior IT cloud experience;
- IaaS (Compute, Network, Storage) & PaaS
- Cloud Migrations & Transformations
- Cloud Landing Zones and Cloud Adoption Framework (CAF)
- Deploying cloud workloads through automation (PowerShell) and Infrastructure as Code (ARM/Terraform)
- Cloud Governance, Compliance and Security best practice - Facilitation of client workshops and business update sessions.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Familiarity with Service Now and other ITSM tools
- Bachelor's degree in IT, Microsoft Azure certifications, or related fields.
