enterprise adherence to information security controls, regulations and industry best practices by leading various initiatives to protect the confidentiality, integrity and availability of our data and information systems assets

• Perform information security due diligence on third party vendors to determine the effectiveness of their controls to protect the Company’s data, identify any discrepancies and escalate all issues to management.
• Review completed SIG questionnaires based on vendor risk and evaluate responses received from security questionnaires that align with ISO and NIST standards
• Assisting in the risk and compliance program’s design, process re-engineering or enhancements and tool and technology implementations as applicable
• Maintain and develop policies and procedures
• Working directly with key business leaders to facilitate risk analysis and risk management processes, identifying acceptable levels of risk and establish roles and responsibilities with regards to risk management for both service providers and internal solutions

Qualifications:

• 3+ years of experience in an IT Risk, Third Party Vendor Assessment or Information Security organization with a general understanding of Compliance, Audit, Security and Risk.

At Groupon, Accounting isn’t your typical month-end close type of department. While the heart of our day-to-day work is providing financial information to the business, that’s only the tip of the iceberg. We’re building out financial systems to support every new business line and product, so our Accounting team gets a granular view and understanding of how a business is crafted from the ground up. You'll spend time on the following:

• Working closely with the Treasury, Tax and Statutory Reporting teams to understand accounting implications of terms and conditions of intercompany arrangements, along with other significant intra-entity transactions and global initiatives across the Company.

• Supporting intercompany accounting transformation projects, including automation and process improvement.

• Proactively communicating with business partners in US and EMEA to resolve intercompany variances, reconcile any outstanding amounts on a timely basis and provide necessary support for local reporting purposes.

• Facilitating key month-end close responsibilities accurately and on a timely basis including preparation of monthly and quarterly intercompany invoice recharges, balance sheet reconciliations and variance analyses.

• Liaising with Corporate Tax to ensure annual recharges are correctly accounted for across entities globally in accordance with the Groupon Transfer Pricing framework.

• Coordinating with the Shared Service Centers to process intercompany invoices including receiving and posting invoices to the ledger and intercompany settlements.

• Ensuring compliance with relevant regulatory requirements and internal policies.

We're excited about you if you have/are:

• 3+ years accounting experience at a multinational company, public accounting experience is a plus

• ACA or ACCA preferred

• Knowledge of IFRS and local GAAP is a plus

• Experience working with transfer pricing arrangements and foreign currency translation on intercompany transactions

• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build relationships and communicate effectively with relevant stakeholders

• Excellent numeracy and analytical skills, proficient at using Microsoft Excel

• Self-starter, able to resolve issues with own initiative

• Positive mindset with a drive to continually improve and challenge existing processes

• Systems savvy; experience with NetSuite, Anaplan and Alteryx is a plus

• Fluency in English (both written and oral) is essential, proficiency in any additional European languages is a plus

Our Test Engineering team is responsible for the architecture, design, implementation, and test of our products in a high-visibility, high-impact part of the Tech organization. We follow engineering best practices to maintain performance standards when developing Tooling and Test infrastructure to support quality initiatives.

As a Software Development Engineer in Test, you will work on the Groupon platform and integration with the backend services to ensure high reliability, availability, performance and operational readiness of the Groupon platform.

You’ll spend time on the following:
- Architect and implement automation frameworks that allow us to validate RESTful services
- Work on test tools that are leveraged across the company for test data creation,
monitoring, compliance testing, etc.
- Research emerging test tools, trends and methodologies and enhance existing

- working closely with PMs, devs and collaborate across teams to solve challenging problems
- Help define and improve our testing and release processes

What You Will Do:

The Multimedia Technician - AV Systems Specialist provides independent coordination, end-user support, and training for meetings and events large and small and is responsible for establishing the standards for events and ensuring execution meets those standards.

This role will be the primary point of contact for projects in Groupon offices worldwide, coordinating AV systems installations with multiple stakeholders - internal and external.  

Troubleshooting, upgrades, and configuration changes are also part of the portfolio.  

This role is based in our Chicago headquarters but provides services and support to offices around the globe.  Project-based travel, possibly including international, should be expected.

• Experience in GCP Platform, Google Data Streams, Google Dataproc

• Experience with change data capture(CDC) technologies

• Modern data warehouse technology like Delta lake is nice to have. 

• Experience with Delta Lake and Hudi frameworks
