Role Overview:

As the Executive for Infrastructure and Sustainability at Defence Collective Singapore (DCS), you will support the development, management, and sustainability performance of DCS infrastructure projects. Responsibilities:

• Develop Gallery and Exhibitions Concept and Design. To plan, conceptualise, coordinate, and ensure timely delivery of quality permanent exhibits and special exhibitions, including any required satellite or roving exhibitions that communicate the Singapore Defence Story to the public and targeted audiences.

• Work with the Exhibitions Director and Team in internal and external stakeholder management and maintain strong professional relationships and long-term partnerships.
• Actively collaborate with other departments including digital, education, programming, and marketing
• Manage and administer ad-hoc projects, processes, and procedures, as and when required

Requirements:

• Candidate must possess at a Degree/ Diploma in Exhibition Design/ Multimedia Design or Interior Design or equivalent in a related field.
• Experience in handling experiential gallery and multidisciplinary exhibition production management.
• Process good working knowledge in design, project management, and experience with varied scale of project tenders preferred.
• Process basic knowledge in international museum and archive principles, standards and practices, development, current and emerging trends, and professional code of ethics and practices.
• Knowledge of site safety requirements and Workplace Safety and Health requirements preferred.
• Strong organisational, project management, and interpersonal skills, able to work independently and as part of a team
• Meticulous and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Creative, fun, and a team player.
• Must have an interest or passion for Singapore or defence-related issues and story.
• Must be comfortable to work on weekends or at night, if required

Responsibilities:

• Identify and establish strategic partnership opportunities that contribute to DCS’ growth and expansion plans in its engagement efforts. This includes environmental scan of latest NE landscape and innovative trends
• Drive partnership initiatives across 3P (Public, People and Private) sectors to profile and promote DCS as choice National Education partner
• Coordinate with external partners and internal stakeholders on partners-related activities from event management to MOU/ partnership agreements
• Support CEO’s office in organising DCS events (retreats, launches, official visits, learning journeys) and co-ordinating stakeholder management
• Other duties as assigned by Director/ CEO

Requirements:

• Degree in Arts and Social Sciences; Business Mgt or other relevant discipline
• Experience working in arts and museum sector is preferred
• Excellent communication, inter-personal, event & project management, analytical and facilitation skills
• Motivated team player and able to work flexible hours when required
• Able to multi-task and handle tight deadlines
• Good command of spoken and written English
• Good knowledge and application of MS Office applications, especially Word, Powerpoint and Excel
• Passion in Singapore Story and National Education & interest in current affairs
• Position will be determined by qualifications and work experience
