Education/Experience:

• BSc required, MSc/MEng preferred in micro-electronics engineering

• Have a 7+ years relevant industry experience on IC design or technical support of IC design

• 5+ years industry experience of analog/mixed-signal verification and simulation flows, preferably using Virtuoso ADE tooling, Spectre, AMS Designer and associated verification methodologies such as UVM

• Experiences in mixed-signal behavioral modelling with (VerilogAMS, SystemVerilog) are of advantage

• Experience of UNIX environments; knowledge of SKILL, C or other computer language(s).

Job Overview:

Lead Analog and Mixed Signal design of high speed memory interface analog components used in state-of-the-art DDR memory interface PHYs in leading edge technology nodes.  Consisting of blocks such as IOs, amplifiers, comparators, drivers, duty cycle correctors, PLLs, DLLs, level shifters, etc. in advanced IC nodes in volume production.

As Principal Design Engineer, you will provide technical direction and coordination to the analog IC design team and Identify opportunities to advance technology of analog design and participate in strategic internal analog IP development.

Job Responsibilities:

• Design of High-Speed memory interface products at data rates up to and exceeding 36 Gbps on leading edge technology nodes (e.g. 5nm FinFET CMOS)
• Design and development of analog/mixed signal IC circuit blocks from initial concept/specification through final verification of conformance to customer specifications
• Work closely with Physical Design Engineers to design IC circuit blocks and PMA sections
• Work with Technical Team Leads in the areas of circuit design and architects
• Mentor Junior Design Engineers when the project need arises
• Work with global teams (US, India, China, EU), which work in different time-zones

Job Qualifications:

• Successful candidate should be BEng, MEng qualified or have an equivalent qualification.
• Minimum of 4 years of CMOS design experience, preferably in the area of CMOS SERDES, DDR or high-speed I/O IC design
• Should have a good understanding of jitter and signal equalization techniques
• Design experience in some of the following SERDES circuit blocks: Driver, Receiver, Serializer, Deserializer, Phase Interpolator, Low jitter PLL, High Speed Clock Distribution, Bias and Bandgap, Voltage Regulators
• Excellent problem-solving skills, analog aptitude, good communication skills and ability to work cooperatively in a team environment
• Position requires proficiency in using CAD tools for circuit simulation, layout and physical verification
• Cadence tool experience and design experience in <40nm technologies preferred.
• Lab test experience as part of silicon evaluation is advantageous

Job Description, Role and Key Responsibilities

The Cadence Applications Engineer (AE) role is a great opportunity to employ your strong technical skills to enable semiconductors companies adopting Cadence solutions and associated IC design methodologies. The Application Engineer will work with some of the most technically demanding IC design development solutions and leading-edge nanometers process technologies.

The AE is credible to articulate Cadence solutions with an emphasis on analog/mixed-signal custom IC design platform and more specifically on the Back-End part (layout/layout automation).

In a customer facing and commercially sensitive working environment, the AE is responsible for actively assisting Cadence customers and prospective customers during:

• Sales technical campaigns and product evaluations in resolving customers design challenges while promoting Cadence solutions value added benefits
• Adoption from concept to successful deployment of design flows and associated methodologies through design environment assessments.
• Direct a contribution to key customer design projects, e.g. be responsible for driving Cadence IC tools for key tasks on these projects

The AE will develop skills to:

• Acquire strong technical understanding of the complete IC design/verification flow.
• Identifying and tracking technical issues in customer's full custom IC design environment, prioritize them taking account both the customer's & Cadence's needs. Drive their resolution within Cadence R&D
• Drive best practices and lessons learned from training deliveries, tool benchmarks and customer interactions back into product development and Cadence AE community
• Identify technical gaps that prevent efficient use of the Cadence tools and put together sessions like workshops or Lunch & Learn in order to explain how to use the tool efficiently and close the gaps.
• Improve existing design methodologies and develop new methodologies leveraging ever evolving Cadence solutions and services.
• Develop a deep and trusting relationship with the customer's design teams
• Be able to work independently to find solutions for the client, while utilizing help from the Local, European and global Cadence organization when needed.
• Be available to travel to different European locations for short periods

Requirement, Experience, Education

Job Description, Role and Key Responsibilities

This is an excellent opportunity to work on challenging and complex SoC projects with Cadence customers in the semiconductor domain.

The Application Engineer will:

• Provide high level of technical customer support for our products related to digital Design For Test.
• Identify and track technical issues in Customers’ DFT design environment, prioritize these issues considering both Customer's & Cadence's needs and drive their resolution.
• Assist the Customer with DFT flow development, e.g. improve existing design methodologies, develop new methodologies that leverage Cadence tools & services
• Support technical evaluations (including Beta evaluations with Cadence R&D and the customer) of new digital EDA tools, flows and methodologies.
• Provide direct contribution to key design projects, e.g. be responsible for driving Cadence DFT for key tasks on these projects.
• Develop and maintain technical and soft skills to be seen as a trusted EDA tool specialist with a deep knowledge in Cadence's DFT tools.
• Work with the Cadence Sales team to identify additional sales opportunities.

Requirement, Experience, Education

The Application Engineer will:

• Have good understanding of DFT concepts and methodologies (ATPG, SCAN, BIST, …)
• Have some knowledge on our SW tools: Modus, Genus, or similar tools from other EDA vendors.
• Have excellent communication and problem-solving skills
• Be prepared to visit Cadence customers in Southern Europe (France, Italy, Switzerland, …)

Experience in digital DFT design and possibly some of the following disciplines:
