About The Role:
The primary purpose of these 2 posts is to provide administrative support services to the Head of Corporate Estate and the Head of Green Transformation, and to the wider management team of the respective Service as necessary.
Each role will contribute to developing administrative systems to support the needs of staff and will be responsible for the organisation, care and archiving of administrative records as well as providing administrative support to a variety of meetings.
Each role will assist in processing of invoices for charges and payments and initial onboarding of staff, and where appropriate provide supervision for, work experience placements, graduate apprentices, and temporary staff.
There is a lot of recruitment into our teams over the next year so you will assist in providing administrative support to recruitment exercises. For example, arranging interviews, booking rooms and liaising with interviewers and interviewees.
There will also be opportunities to provide Project Officer support for specific workstreams. With regards the Corporate Estates post your work will contribute towards a corporate landlord model, the council’s larger asset review programme and other small-scale projects. For the Green Transformation post there will be opportunities to contribute and lead on projects which will help us meet our climate and ecological emergency commitments.
About You:
You’ll have a minimum level of 5 GCSE passes with Maths and English and a demonstrable track record of success in administrative support and project support roles. You’ll be discreet and have good organisational skills as well as a collaborative approach. You will have good communication skills with ability to take the initiative and juggle competing demands on your time.
Your main place of work will be the award-winning, modern Civic Centre in Keynsham, halfway between Bath and Bristol, easily accessible via car or public transport, with a train station 5 minutes’ walk away.
