Adventist HealthCare seeks to hire an experienced Director of Entity Revenue Cycle who will embrace our mission to extend God’s care through the ministry of physical, mental and spiritual healing.
As a Director of Entity Revenue Cycle you will:
•Provide oversight over key Revenue Cycle performance metrics that impact entity performance in the strategic areas of Bigger, Finance, Experience, and Engagement. Overall performance in these areas for the entity are the primary accountability of entity leadership during performance reviews.
•Management of the entity-based team members who perform Revenue Cycle processes, including, local Scheduling, Patient Access, and HIM who perform their roles at the entity
•Lead and influence entity team member engagement and entity culture
•Resolve issues contributing to poor Revenue Cycle performance within the entity and implementing performance improvement initiatives.
•Demonstrate collaborative leadership from a Customer perspective of Revenue Cycle shared services and processes at the enterprise level contributing to the revenue viability for the assigned entity.
•Act as a liaison between the assigned entity and Revenue Cycle Shared Service leaders to ensure expected performance.
•Utilize timely communication and reporting of Revenue Cycle performance, initiatives, barriers, process changes etc. to entity-based leadership and other key stakeholders within the entity.
•Follow through on goals for this position that are enterprise based with input from and agreement with entity leadership to ensure a clear connection to the entity performance reviews.
•Own and lead Revenue Cycle performance for assigned entity.
•Lead, manage, and continuously improve denials performance.
•Ensure feedback loop is maintained between entity process results and enterprise audit, reporting, and performance to ensure Revenue Cycle performance.
•Ensure enterprise Revenue Cycle and Finance leadership are aware of positive and negative performance of entity-based revenue cycle performance – including appropriate escalation and support where needed.
•Ensure entity-based Revenue Cycle processes align with overall enterprise strategy and standardization goals.
•Provide feedback to shared service leaders regarding processes and contribute to overall Revenue Cycle performance improvement initiatives for the enterprise
•Maintain Revenue Cycle budget and staffing model for the assigned entity
•Promote AHC values; overall team work and a positive work environment.
•Leading multi-disciplined teams to integrate their solutions & services.
•Build & maintain relationships with key stakeholders covering a range of business sectors.
•Provide insights to enhance delivery models & outcomes that meet their entity needs.
•Collaborate with implementation & development teams to enhance service delivery.
•Responsible for the maintenance of the governance model and meeting structure for local revenue cycle meetings.
•Understand, meet, and exceed set department goals.
•Responsible for special Revenue Cycle entity projects.
•Ensure legal compliance and regulatory compliance of local Revenue Cycle processes at entity.
•Ensure implementation of Revenue Cycle policies & procedures at assigned entity
•Attends and participates in committees and task forces as assigned.
•Other duties as assigned
Qualifications include:
•Bachelor’s Degree required, business or healthcare management preferred,
•A minimum of 10 years’ experience with a healthcare provider or a BPO organization focused on Healthcare Revenue Cycle outsourcing
•A minimum of 7 years leading Revenue Cycle processes and teams required
•Has held a leadership role in at least two of the following areas: Patient Access, HIM, Coding, Revenue Integrity, Billing (CBO), Physician Practice Management, or Customer Service within an Acute Care Hospital setting or Physician Practice
•PC skills in a Windows environment are required. Knowledge and utilization of desktop applications to include Word and Excel is essential.
•Innovative, motivated & able to lead by example.
•Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
•Ability to initiate and follow through on projects and work independently with minimal supervision required.
Work Schedule:
Monday to Friday 7AM - 7PM flexible schedule.
