SRG are working with a dynamic and independent leader in analytical testing and consultancy services that has recently achieved ISO 17025 accreditation, to find an experienced Compliance Manager based in Southampton. You will take on an integral role within the company to reinforce ISO 17025 accreditation, be responsible for AQC chart monitoring, producing validation packs for UKAS work, and develop new methods for laboratory services.

Benefits: Competitive salary and benefits package, 20 days annual leave + bank holidays, Monday to Friday 8:00 to 16:00 hours, early finish on Fridays. Hybrid working options available.

Key Responsibilities:

1. ISO 17025 Accreditation:

• Lead and manage the ISO 17025 accreditation process.
• Develop, implement, and oversee strategies to maintain ISO 17025 accreditation.
• Stay current with revisions to ISO 17025 standards and ensure ongoing compliance.

2. AQC Chart Monitoring:

• Design, implement, and maintain an AQC chart monitoring program to ensure the quality and precision of the analytical processes.
• Collaborate with laboratory teams to assess chart data, identify trends, and initiate corrective actions when necessary.
• Report and communicate AQC chart findings to relevant stakeholders.

3. Validation Packs for UKAS Work:

• Create and manage comprehensive validation packs for all projects requiring UKAS accreditation.
• Ensure that validation packs meet UKAS requirements and support the success of accreditation processes.
• Coordinate with project teams to collect and organize validation data.

4. Development of New Methods:

• Innovate and develop new testing methods to expand our analytical capabilities.
• Collaborate with laboratory scientists and researchers to design, validate, and document new methods.
• Keep abreast of advancements in analytical techniques and industry best practices.

5. Compliance Documentation:

• Establish and maintain accurate records and documentation related to ISO 17025.
• Ensure that documentation reflects the latest standards and processes.

Requirements:

• A minimum BSc in Chemistry.
• Proven expertise in compliance to ISO 17025 standards.
• Experience of chemical laboratory management and history of bench analysis desired.
• Competent and experienced in Test Witness Audits and Vertical Audits.
• Open to and supportive of hybrid working.
• Experience of UKAS assessment visits and confidently dealing with UKAS Lead Assessors.
• Proficiency in analytical techniques and method development.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Attention to detail and a commitment to precision.

QA Specialist - PureSU

This role will focus on:

You will ensure our single-use assembly products (PureSU) meet the required quality standards for our customers. Reporting to the Biopure QESH Manager, this will be a key role working with the wider global PureSU team across Watson-Marlow Fluid Technology Solutions (WMFTS). The role will initially be focused on ensuring quality documentation and processes comprehensively meet ISO 9001 with the aim of achieving ISO 13485 certification in the near future.

Key Accountabilities include:

• Driving quality assurance in PureSU assembly operations. Holding people to account for quality within their remit of responsibilities.
• Creating, updating and maintaining documentation within the QMS. Writing policies and procedures in collaboration with the PureSU team.
• You will be responsible for ensuring Good Documentation Practices are upheld for PureSU, along with archiving and retrieving batch documentation.
• Ensuring ongoing compliance to support critical product claims e.g. adherence to the sterility assurance programme. This includes reviewing and approving reports for test reports from external organisations and raising any issues/concerns promptly to the Validation team to assess impact.
• Promoting the importance of quality across the PureSU organisation and associated functions/departments.
• Addressing customer requests for compliance statements quickly and working with the validation team to support requests for regulatory/validation data.
• Raising Non-Conformance on receipt of complaint and communicating to relevant teams for investigation.
• Maintaining and updating calibration records for equipment where necessary.
• Generating change controls from internal and external communications. Working with Product Management on Change Notifications relevant to PureSU.
• Hosting customer audits for PureSU with support from the wider Quality team. Conducting/supporting external supplier audits as required. Undertaking internal audits and ensuring audit actions are assigned and completed.

To be successful in this role, you will need:

• A strong track record of experience in Quality Assurance roles within manufacturing/engineering environments. If you have any life sciences (e.g. biopharma, pharmaceutics or medical devices) even better - although this is not essential.
• Any experience of working within an ISO 13485 quality management environment is desirable.
• Strong attention to detail and very high level of integrity.
• Good communication skills and the ability to influence.
• Experience of Internal Audit training, Lead Auditor would be preferable.
• Experience of ERP system Microsoft AX and eQMS system TrackWise.

You will have responsibility for the routine safety and integrity inspections covering all voltages associated with the Distribution Network. The Role:

You will be responsible for:

• Ensuring Inspection Test Plans (ITPs) are producied accurately and in a timely manner
• Reviewing ITPs
• Managing materials testing for subcontractors
• Producing all quality documents and issuing to the client
• Managing all test results and ensuring all are issued to the client or relevant party
• Developing quality forms and checklists
• Ensuring works are approved in a timely manner, to ensure that the construction stages remain on programme
• Liaising with project management and site team to improve the quality of work produced
• Daily liaison with the client, designers and all relevant third parties
• Developing and implementing quality control processes and procedures
• Monitoring the project quality and performance

Requirements:

• Ideally experience in civil engineering projects and specifically water projects
• Excellent understanding of quality within the Design Process
• Excellent with record keeping and data management
• Good communicator
• Experience working on a large scale, complex civil engineering project
• An understanding of working closely alongside other contractors
• Full driving license
