The Role 

As a Junior QA Tester at Refract Technologies, you’ll hop, skip and jump hand in hand with our Applied Tech and Product teams to ensure products in the AXIS portfolio work as intended. 

This role will see you at the forefront of testing various software and hardware for bugs and ensuring that they are communicated clearly to the development teams. You’ll work with our Quality Assurance team to write and execute test cases, alongside maintaining databases and preparing reports. 

If detail is your middle name, and you aren’t afraid to get physical (it is motion capture software, after all) - we’d love to speak with you! 

For this role, we're open to reviewing candidates pursuing internships, or a 6 month contract role.

What You’ll Be Doing 

• Test software or game products using method and tools established by Senior/Lead QA 

• Execute all test plans established by Senior/Lead QA in timely manner. 

• Verify software or game products based on the expected results or design requirements. 

• Create and maintain test cases based on product requirements. 

• Create defects (bugs) with concise reproduction steps and accurate observations. 

• Track bugs and follow up until they are resolved. 

• Send out and document test reports on all the relevant communication medium. 

• Complete QA tasks from Senior/Lead QA in timely manner. 

• Participate in exploratory and debugging tests to isolate issues or steps to reproduce. 

• Create QA documentation related to guides and method. 

• Participate in providing qualitative feedback to software or games products. 

Skills and Experience Required 

• Strong communicator, able to relay precise information in a succinct yet detailed manner 

• Able to sustain periods of physical activity. 

• Able to work and make decisions independently. 

• Proficiency with common productivity tools - G-Suite, Office etc. 

• High level of information organisation and documentation 

Significant Add-Ons 

• An inherent interest in gaming, technology - especially in VR/MR/AR. 

• Previously educated in similar field. 
• An interest in sports and fitness is highly preferred.

• Coordinate the preparation of vehicles to be delivered to customers and supervising the contractors to ensure timely completion of vehicles for delivery.
• Monitor & coordinate closely with Sales team on the intended delivery of new vehicle.
• Assist and facilitate quotations from vendors for adhoc accessories spec up for new vehicles.
• Supervise contractors to ensure quality completion of jobs carried out.
• Perform QC checks on vehicles
• Draw out parts from parts store to supply to new vehicle.
• Receive Parts from suppliers and to account for the stocks in details.

• Minimum Nitec/Higher Nitec or equivalent.
• Min. 3 years experience in motor trade industry, knowledge of standard operating procedure important.
• MUST have class 3 license

Main Responsibilities:

• Prepare daily trading PNL for assigned desk and close the trading P/L on a timely basis. This includes preparation of journal entries for accounting team to book.
• Review and validate daily freight payable transactions in accounting system for accurate and timely payments.
• Update futures/options margin accounts breakdown by desk, per broker statement.
• Review general month-end accounting tasks by accounting team to ensure that the financial results are prepared and reported timely in accordance with IFRS and Singapore accounting standards as well as internal policies. This includes Statutory and Management reporting.
• Perform month-end trading and accounting PNL reconciliation to ensure no major discrepancies and differences are accounted for, provide commentaries as required.
• Work closely with Freight Operations, Trading, Execution and Accounting teams to ensure that financial transactions including trading accruals and provisions pertaining to trading books are accounted for properly in both trading and accounting systems, and that they are in line with IFRS.
• Liaise with Accounting teams in offshore Shared Services Centre to ensure that non-trading activities are booked accurately.
• Coordinate and liaise with external parties like external auditors, tax agents, local tax and government authorities where required, during quarterly GST filing, annual statutory audits, and annual MSI-AIS Award submissions.
• Engage actively in the ongoing process of automating tasks and constantly look for areas of improvement.
• Assist the Manager/Controller to assess and identify risks within the business and any other adhoc tasks as required.

Experiences:

• 1-2 years of experience in Product Control/Business Analysis/Management Accounting/Audit/FP&A from shipping/commodities industries preferred.
• Good understanding of futures markets, hedging and derivatives mechanisms.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, ability, and willingness to interact effectively with all levels of employees & management.
• Ability to handle multiple responsibilities and to prioritize.
• Self-starter with ability to work independently and to take initiative, proactive attitude toward problems and issues.
