An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior Support Buyer position within the Support Buying team in the Procurement department. This post will be a full-time, permanent position.

We are looking for two enthusiastic, committed, and motivated individuals with passion and drive to join our Support Buying team. The key function of the role is to support the UHL staff with low value spend in day-to-day ordering of goods and services. This will be done by developing and delivering training to UHL staff on the right way to order goods and services and on the process of ensuring invoices and prices are accurate to ensure a timely payment to our supplier. The post holders will also act as key collaborators for UHL departments.

The successful candidates will need to have previous NHS procurement experience in a busy office environment with excellent administrative and organisational skills including the ability to prioritise workloads. Previous knowledge of purchase to pay systems, as well as excellent customer service and time management skills and experience of working on their own initiative are key requirements.

DC Personnel have a new and exciting permanent opportunity to work with our well established client in Leicester as their new Procurement Engineer

Salary : £36-£38k (DOE)
Hours : Monday to Thursday 8.15-5pm, Fridays 8.15 -1pm

Responsibilities:

Improve supplier retention
Selecting and monitoring supplier performance whilst developing a good working relationship
Introducing new products into the supply chain
Ensuring compliance of all products fall within guidelines and adhere to company procedures
Working with the engineering team to report back on anything shortfalls to suppliers and ensure expectations are met
Provide detailed and accurate documentation of all inspection results on products sourced
Negotiate contracts and terms of agreement with suppliers
Collaborate with internal teams to determine procurement needs
Resolve any issues or discrepancies with suppliers regarding quality, quantity, or delivery
Maintain accurate records of purchases, pricing, and supplier information
Stay updated on market trends and new products in the industry

Experience required:

Qualifications in supply chain management, business administration, or similar is preferred
CIPS qualification is desirable
Understanding of the electrical and mechanical manufacturing processes with the ability to read technical drawings
Strong knowledge of Advanced Quality Planning (APQP), Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (FMEA)
Proven experience in a procurement role
Strong knowledge of supply chain management principles and practices
Excellent negotiation skills
Detail-oriented with strong analytical skills
Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment

What you’ll need:
- Able to drive allowing travel to cover neighboring stores as and when required
- Have 2+years previous retail management experience and commercial knowledge

We are currently recruiting for an individual to join our Purchase Ledger team in Leicester, on a 6 month Fixed Term Contract, starting as soon as possible.

This is a hybrid role, the successful applicant will be able to work from home with a requirement to work from the Leicester office at least 3 days per week. 

Reporting to the Finance Operations Manager, the successful applicant will be responsible for running the Purchase Ledger process including generating the payment runs & performing month end routines.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Other responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:

• checking & processing of invoices / expense claims (through Concur) to ensure they are correctly authorised & approved prior to processing

• generation of payment runs & remittance advises

• posting payments through Sage

• reconciliation of the Purchase Ledger at month end & performing the necessary month end routines

WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED

• minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar role

• experience using systems like SAGE, Dynamics 365 or similar

• excellent literacy, numeracy, and IT skills, especially with MS Office

• able to present complex information, both in writing and verbally

• the ability to communicate at all levels in a clear, concise, and professional manner

• strong organisational and administrative skills, with high attention to detail
