PMX (Publicis Media Exchange) is the central investment practice for Publicis Media. We’re responsible for the smart application of investment by leveraging scale, marketplace innovation, deeper partnerships, and intelligence.

The transformation you will experience
This is an incredible opportunity to join our centralised PMX team as the Media Intelligence Director. In this newly created role, you will be the go-to source of critical media intelligence for PMX and Publicis Groupe media agencies – analysing, compiling, and curating insights that fuel client outcomes. You will be able to exercise your strong verbal and written communication skills combined with deep expertise in media metrics, currency and strategy including an understanding of media effectiveness research.
Leveraging your existing relationships with key industry organisations including OzTam and IAB, you will have the platform to deliver proactive and insightful intelligence around changes in the media landscape that will impact agencies and their clients. You have the opportunity to build your reputation as the ‘go to’ expert in the field and harness your expertise to drive efficiencies and inspire excellence across Publicis Groupe agencies through the provision of strategic insights from a vast array of data sources and publications.
Depending on seniority, you will report to the Director of Media Insights or, to the Head of Media Intelligence. Your day-to-day responsibilities will centre around the following pillars:
- Marketplace intelligence: Creation and dissemination of marketplace intelligence and thought leadership through written reports and verbal presentations using PowerPoint
- Investment intelligence and market insights: Create centralised market insights collateral, including but not limited to: SMI reports, marketplace updates and opinion pieces
- Media currency support: Support the broader agency teams in managing changes to currency including VOZ, move 2.0, Foxtel currency, etc.
- Media effectiveness support: Support the broader media intelligence team and Director Media Insights in establishing media effectiveness benchmarks through the proprietary Cornerstone platform
- Commercial support: Support the GM Commercial in deal management forecasting and tracking, commercial compliance and education, and value management opportunities

What type of person will be successful in this role
You’ll possess:
- 8+ years in a similar analytical position at a media agency media network, or media consultancy, with the aptitude to elevate out of analytics to provide strong insights
- Strong verbal and written communication skills combined with deep expertise in media metrics, media currency and media strategy including an understanding of media effectiveness research
- Strong skills in data interrogation and insights extraction
- Skills in complex stakeholder management
- Confidence in storytelling and presenting as well as strong writing skills
- A thorough understanding of pricing and value across the Australian media market. Experience across New Zealand would be valuable
- Numerical skills are essential
- Preferably will have experience using media systems Spectra MD, Nielsen AQX, L+J eTAM (Fusion), Roy Morgan Asteroid, etc.
