Fixed term for 15 months, with progression opportunities.
Full time (37.5hpw), with flexible hours available
Hybrid - working from home, attending meetings at Regional Offices and set days out in the community with Housing Managers in South Oxhey.
£8.60 to £ 11.44, plus an industry recognised qualification that we pay for, and brilliant benefits including health cash plan!

Typical day as a Housing Management Apprentice
- Helping us deliver a fantastic housing service to customers living on our regenerated estate and driving us forward as a respected and responsive social housing provider
- Meeting with your team, in person or on-line, and agree priorities, allocation of tasks and how you will support each other
- Checking general enquiries, contacting customers to discuss issues, liaising with housing colleagues and supply chains to resolve problems
- Supporting customers who are preparing to move into a Home Group property, such as guiding then through tenancy sign-ups
- Meeting Housing Managers on site, greeting customers and supporting community events like estate visits, doorstep challenges, tenancy sign-ups, estate inspections, health and safety assessments
- Work with an expert apprenticeship delivery partner to attend all learning and achieve an industry recognised qualification.

About you
- You are a current or previous customer of Home Group or currently live in a Home Group property.
- Ideally you have GCSEs in English and maths, but don’t worry if not, you will complete these as part of your apprenticeship learning.
- You meet the entry requirements of the training requirements which are; have a fantastic attitude, be keen to learn and build brilliant team relationships
- We’re a high-tech organisation so we need you to have good IT skills.
- A genuine interest in learning and personal and professional development – this is a learning role after all!
- Confident in your Maths and English abilities, as you will be working towards a Level 2 qualification, if you don’t already hold these.
Our team
You’ll join our Senior Housing Manager, Jane and our South Oxhey housing team, we’re super passionate about what we do! We’re really proud of the regeneration programme and how we are building links with the local community. We’re a supportive bunch and like to meet up for coffee and catch-ups in a local café in the heart of South Oxhey.
Job details
- You will be doing a level 2 Housing and Property Management qualification, and this will last 15 months. You’ll gain stacks of experience to help you launch your career.
- Many of our apprentices secure a permanent role with us so who knows where you’ll end up in the future!
- This is a hybrid role, based on average, two days a week working out in the community, meeting the team on-site and working from home on other days. It’s important you’re at work when our team are around to support you so, although hours of work are usually 9am-5pm, flexibility is important.
- You will have built in time (20% of your working week) for study and support for working towards your qualification.
- You’ll need an Enhanced / Standard / Basic DBS check done and we pay for that.
