Main Responsibilities

Reporting to the Quarry Manager, as our Area Mechanical Maintenance Fitter you will be responsible for undertaking plant maintenance, repairs and improvements to ensure maximum reliability of all plant associated areas and to assist team members in all aspects of plant operations.

Your responsibilities as the Area Mechanical Maintenance Fitter will include:

• Level 3 Apprentice trained or ONC/NVQ Level 3 in Mechanical Engineering would prove highly beneficial although not essential as QBE (Qualified by Experience) is essential in this role
• Experience working in the Quarrying industry would prove a distinct advantage
• Have experience of TPM methodology and Continuous Improvement
• Working knowledge of relevant engineering maintenance principles and practices, and experience of working in a relevant heavy engineering industry

The hours will be 22.5 hours per week working Monday to Friday 2pm to 18.30pm , food service will also be involved. The ability to work effectively and flexibly, both alone and as part of a team, maintaining a high standard of work will be essential.
