You will be responsible for the maintenance and repair of all company properties within your regions, introducing relevant new requirements relating to Health and Safety and planning and implementing planned preventive maintenance programmes on buildings. This role is based within our Head Office in Eastbourne and will include regular travel across our branch network within London and the South of England and may on occasion require travel further afield. Whilst this role is based at our Head Office in Eastbourne, once the role is established, consideration for this to become a hybrid position is possible.

As a Maintenance Surveyor some responsibilities will include:

Being responsible for all maintenance activities within your regions
Providing support and advice to the Premises Helpdesk in respect of reactive works
Providing Building Surveying services across a range of diverse properties, to include project management, dilapidations claims and disaster recovery
Assisting in the preparation of annual budgets and subsequently implementing planned preventative maintenance works for your sites
Undertaking regular inspections to ensure company standards are being upheld
Procurement and management of contractors
Developing and maintaining relationships with intermediaries and business colleagues
Ensuring operating and business plan objectives are met in all areas
Assisting the Health and Safety Officer in the collection and recording of data to meet legislation and advising on cost implications

Who we are looking for to join our team:

Holds a relevant surveying or construction related degree
MRICS minimum 2 years post qualification experience (preferred, but not essential)
Demonstrable experience delivering/managing responsive repairs, cyclical repairs and planned maintenance programmes across a region
Previous experience in the retail sector would be preferred, but is not essential
Ability to manage and support internal and external teams to deliver development and repairs programmes
Shows initiative and adaptability, with a willingness to tackle and resolve complex challenges or decisions
Possess a confident and measured manner with the ability to engage at all levels in the business
Has a sound knowledge of Microsoft Office software
Holds a full UK Driving Licence and willing to travel nationally as required

Responsibilities

As an Automotive Technician, you would be an integral part of our day to day functions.

• Predominantly workshop based with mobile capability

This varied role will see you undertaking a mixture of PPM and reactive maintenance across the site to ensure it is completed within a prompt time frame to ensure it doesn't impact the student experience.
You will be investigating issues to establish the cause of the damage then undertaking repairs yourself or liaising with respective sub-contractors to arrange repairs.
To comply with the highest levels of professional standards and promote a positive health and safety culture in line with the existing H&S Infrastructure.
Ensuring that all buildings and services are in good working order and comply with statutory regulations and the Health and Safety at Work Act and provide the relevant information for repairs directly to the Facilities Administration Team to ensure the buildings and services meet compliance.
A full driving licence is essential for this role.About You:
You will be a tradesperson or a technical individual, ideally with a Mechanical and/or Electrical engineering background, capable of maintaining and repairing M&E Plant and building fabric.
You will be competent in using hand and power tools and have the ability to undertake general maintenance work as required.

We are currently looking for a Technician to delivery, maintain and service equipment in customers homes. You will be supplied with a company van and tools then given a route each day. A typical day starts at 8am and usually finished by 5pm, completing 6 to 10 drops, working Monday to Friday.

Some heavy lifting can be involved, and you will need a good level of customer service. Ideally we are looking for someone with a maintenance or engineering background, with a good understanding of health and safety.

Full training will be given, usually for 1 month. This will give you a good understanding of the products and their use.
