The knowledge, skills, qualifications and experience relevant to the position are:

• Fire & Security Apprenticeship (or recognised equivalent)

Your new role
This role can be based out of either the Edinburgh or Glasgow offices, both located within the city centre with travel required across the country. The successful Security Engineer will install various security systems (such as CCTV and intruder alarms) on several sites. This will also involve:

• Testing of systems following installation
• Maintenance and routine servicing of solutions on-site

• A background in security/CCTV or a similar systems installation role
• A valid UK driving licence
• IPAF accreditation (preferred, but not essential)

About The Role
We have a vacancy for a Security Officer to join our team. You will be responsible for protecting the security and safety of the identified buildings and personnel at a busy client site. You will ensure that assigned tasks are completed in a professional and timely manner and meet relevant legislations.

You will be working on a 4-day-on-4-day-off shift pattern, 07:00 to 19:00, 42 hours per week, on a permanent, full-time basis.

Your main responsibilities may also include:

• Acting as a first line support to employees and visitors to site, providing a professional and friendly service.
• Fire, security and building systems monitoring.
• Service area barrier control and traffic management.

To succeed in this role, you will need the following:

• Experience of working within the Security Industry is an advantage
• SIA licence is essential
• Ability to work on own initiative
• A professional demeanour with sound judgement and integrity
