Support category management for data and energy and lead Information Technology renewals.  This includes the management of technology goods and services, software, and software as a service (SaaS) for Brown-Forman’s Global Information Technology. Work with leaders at Brown-Forman throughout the globe on the procurement of energy that supports our distillery and bottling plants.

What You Can Expect

• Support end-to-end Information Technology, Data, and Energy procurement and category management, from running RFP processes through to supplier contract negotiations. 

•  Proactively review upcoming contracts.  Partner with associated technology areas to ensure renewals are completed on or before renewal date and renewal contract language is virtually similar to previous contract (not adding/changing or deleting new terms).

• Develop effective, consistent, and equitable strategic supplier relationships while maintaining a high standard of ethics.

• Track hard and soft savings achieved through execution of the renewal sourcing strategy. Produce monthly reports, which include savings and KPIs.

• With direction of Senior Category Manager, create renewal negotiation strategies (including timeline) for critical suppliers.  Proactively review upcoming contracts for expiration and work with the appropriate line of business to ensure timely renewal. 

• Help support Energy and Data procurement efforts as directed by the Senior Category Manager.

What You Bring to the Table

• College/University (Bachelors or Equivalent); Supply Chain, Business, or related discipline

• 4+ years’ experience in direct sourcing and procurement with a focus on technology license agreements, or equivalent combination of education and experience

• Strong working knowledge of contract negotiations with a focus on delivering significant savings in a challenging, multi-layered global environment.

Summary of This Role

Manages the analysis, programming, and testing activities for system and/or software application development and service / support to include feasibility studies, time and cost estimates, and the establishment and implementation of new or revised software applications and/or systems. Advises and confers with team members on administrative policies and procedures, technical problems, priorities, and methods. Consults with team members in other areas to coordinate cross-functional activities. The System Manager of Revenue Integrity (RI) is responsible for assisting with planning, directing, organizing, monitoring, and staffing departmental services subject to policies, budgets, objectives, and directives mandated by regulatory agencies, DNV and the executive team.  Supports the revenue for the health system, through maintaining a compliant and defensible ChargeMaster (CDM), claim integrity and charge reconciliation program. Program Manager, Georgetown Tech Ventures - Office of Technology Commercialization - Georgetown University

Georgetown University’s Office of Technology Commercialization is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Program Manager to provide oversight over the Georgetown Tech Ventures program.  

Georgetown Tech Ventures (GTV) is an initiative recently funded through the Economic Development Authority (EDA) and housed within Georgetown’s Office of Technology Commercialization. Through its GTV program, Georgetown will implement a new research translation program focused on enabling technology-based startups to effectively contribute to the economic ecosystem. The goal of GTV is to assist new startups in the essential role of advancing innovation using proven strategies: (1) outreach and recruitment of diverse local innovators and entrepreneurs; (2) cultivation of external relationships with industry partners and investors/incubators/accelerators; (3) training for new inventors, including customer discovery training; (4) mentorship; (5) startup support services; and (6) cultivation of a university culture of entrepreneurship and research translation.  

The Program Manager - in a 3 year grant funded role - is responsible for developing and managing programs contemplated under the GTV project in partnership with other members of OTC and Georgetown’s Entrepreneurship Initiative at the McDonough School of Business (MSB).  

Work Interactions and Work Mode Designation

Reporting to the VP for Technology commercialization, the Program Manager works closely with all OTC staff and other colleagues as needed.  They work independently or as part of the OTC team and others at the university to accomplish major mission/directives of the Georgetown Tech Ventures program. 

They support, communicate and understand program initiatives, curriculum, requirements, and deliverables; cooperatively work with University departments and/or community to effectively accomplish program deliverables; collaborate with team members to identify program resources, information needs and follow up; and provide excellent verbal and written communication and feedback as required.

The key outline of this Frankfurt-based role is to help nurture the growth of relationships with clients in the Digital, Technology and Communications space that are headquartered in Germany and Austria. An ongoing commitment in Identifying new revenue streams and flows, support and own RFPs and deepen wallet penetration for revenue realization. Your challenges:

• You will be leading the Technology and IT activities of the L&C function (including defining/updating and implementing every year the function’s technology and IT roadmap).

• You will supervise IT initiatives raised by the function (e.g. new tool request), ensure alignment with L&C technology and IT roadmap and with various Airbus processes (IT, Security, Procurement, Finance), ensure that the timeline of the projects is complied with (as much as possible) and that costs are managed (cost split, no cost overrun, etc.).

  • ensure that both tools documentation is up to date.

• You will manage the functional administrator of L&C tools and technology based in Airbus Portugal. This team member, to be hired in Q3 2023, will perform support of TeamConnect, TAP (ticketing system for legal requests) and Trustarc (privacy management system).

• More generally, you would also be able to support the HO L&Co in initiating, running and delivering function level (L&C) projects improving the team members’ working experience (ways of working, organization, communication)

• Upgrade, optimize and troubleshoot lab equipment.
• Design and set up undergraduate teaching experiments including preparing materials, performing lab trials, conducting and supervising laboratory lessons.
• Update lab manual and experimental procedure whenever there is a need.
• Guide junior support staff and teaching assistants to ensure the constant good quality of work deliverables.
