My client is a highly successful manufacturing business in the Fife region, they are looking for an experienced process engineer with a mechanical background.

Purpose of Job:
Provide Product Design Engineers with process feasibility and optimisation ideas and tooling designs / estimates. Provide production with procedures, technical support, equipment design and selection. The ability to be a good overall thinker, and be able to assist in solving technical problems within the process is a real benefit to this position.

Tasks:
Project Related
* Assist with design project specific tooling and test fixtures where required.
* Prepare tooling estimates for quotations in collaboration with Product Design Engineers.
* Support Product Engineers for the preparation of labour estimates for quotations.
* Check feasibility and write production procedures for new build products.
* Design project related test equipment.
* You will be able to advise on the processing of efficiencies within the process.
* Responsible for process optimisation and contributing to product optimisation.

Production Related
* Responsible for tool and equipment design, selection, commissioning, and maintenance.
* Provide technical assistance to Production Operators and Inspectors.
* Liaise with external tool and equipment suppliers.
* Liaise with Admin for tool and equipment purchase.
* Production transfer activities within the group.

Other
* Any other related duties that may be required from time to time.
* The role is more problem-solving than driving a CAD station
* Manex assessments / initiatives / continuous improvements.

Qualifications and Experience:
* HNC Mechanical Engineering, 2-3 years in a similar manufacturing industry. Experienced 3D CAD user and skilled in mechanical design principles.
Special Requirements:

* Ability to prioritise and remain flexible.
* High degree of autonomy.

Special Circumstances:
Occasional travel to customer premises for technical meetings and trial fits. Occasional travel to other group subsidiaries to aid with product transfer.

This is a fixed term contract until the end of December, paying from £52,000 - £58,000 working on a hybrid basis. The HR Business Partner will look at projects and policies working both from home and in the office.

As a HR Business Partner for policies, you will deliver innovative, best practice people policy and project work to support the strategic aims, objectives, and operational plans. You will develop tools, templates, and training to support managers and staff to use and engage with people policies and initiatives. Key Responsibilities of the HR Business Partner:

• Review, develop, implement, and evaluate a range of employment policies and procedures ensuring best practice.

• Undertake appropriate research to ensure that employment policies and procedures are benchmarked against other organisations to maintain appropriate standards.

Essential Requirements of the HR Business Partner:

• CIPD level 7 (desirable).

• Experience of building and maintaining good working relationships with internal stakeholders in a unionised organisation.
• Experience of ensuring HR processes are equitable and inclusive.
• Good understanding of equity, diversity, and inclusion.

As a HR Business Partner you will need:

• In depth knowledge of contemporary HR practices, processes and policies and detailed working knowledge of employment legislation
• Excellent working knowledge of data protection legislation in relation to employee, worker, and job applicant data
• Desirable: CIPD member with a level 7 HR qualification
• Desirable: Project management training and/or qualification
• HR generalist at an advisory level or above, including advising on employment relations cases.
• Successfully delivering HR policy and project activity
• Communicating HR practice and policy information to managers and staff
• Managing project teams or supervising colleagues, including setting clear expectations, and delivering feedback
• Effective management of stakeholders
• Desirable: Experience of working within the HR function of a unionised, multisite organisation.
• Desirable: Experience of delivering reward related policies and activities
