There is a very well established and reputed CESR program running in the department with direct oversight from the Clinical Director. There are currently 6 candidates progressing well through this program and 2 have successfully submitted their application already. The Orchards ward is a 16 bed acute assessment unit providing mental health care for older adults with acute functional or organic mental health needs.

The team consist of a consultant psychiatrist, nurses, occupational therapists and assistants, health care workers, psychologists and other external services who attend the ward when requested.

• Conduct one-on-one therapy sessions

Our Pharmacy team at Nuffield Health Hospital Tunbridge Wells currently have an exciting opportunity for a pharmacist with a specialist interest in oncology and the peri-operative management of elective surgical patients.

We are looking for an enthusiastic, experienced, and self-motivated pharmacist to integrate with the Pharmacy team and oncology / surgical multi-disciplinary teams to deliver an outstanding level of service to our oncology, haemato-oncology and elective surgical patients. The ideal candidate will work flexibly to meet the demands of the service:

Approx. 0.8WTE of the role will be dedicated to the oncology pharmacy service, with patients currently being treated across 4 days per week. There is some flexibility in how the hours are worked on each day, and blended working arrangements would be considered for the right candidate. Our ambition is for the successful candidate to additionally support their Pharmacy colleagues through in-situ training and competency assessment to create a multi-skilled Pharmacy workforce within the oncology service offering.

This is an ideal role for a Band 7 (equivalent) pharmacist with oncology / haemato-oncology experience who is ready for the next step in their career, but wishes to maintain input into another clinical speciality for variety within their role. As a Specialist Pharmacist, you will:

• To deliver a high-quality clinical pharmacy service within Nuffield Health Hospital Tunbridge Wells to oncology, haemato-oncology and elective surgical patients, in line with current government, NICE and BOPA guidelines

• Undertaking medicines reconciliation, organising discharge medications, provision of drug information and clinical counselling of patients

• Maintaining pharmaceutical care plans for all oncology and haemato-oncology patients

• Verification and screening of SACT treatment prescriptions, inpatient prescription charts, discharge and outpatient prescriptions

• Supporting and advising our clinicians on safe prescribing within oncology, haemato-oncology and peri-operative medicine.

• Daily coordination of the administration and delivery of SACT treatments to patients, maintaining effective communication with (and support to) the Pharmacy dispensary

• Development of protocols and guidelines for SACT treatment

• Ordering of SACT in readiness for patient treatment

• Education and training of colleagues in support of their development with oncology competencies

• Liaison with other Nuffield Hospital oncology sites to share knowledge and expertise

• Attending meetings with pharmacy and other oncology leads within the Nuffield Health group on a regular basis, implementing changes to policy and procedure locally

Skills & Experience:

• UK Registered Pharmacist with General Pharmaceutical Council (Essential)

• At least 4-5 years of post-qualification experience

• Experience of supervising and training other staff

• Post-qualification experience within oncology and haemato-oncology and the ability to screen and verify oncology and haemato-oncology regimes and prescriptions (Essential)

• Post-qualification experience in the provision of a ward-based clinical pharmacy service is desirable but not essential, as full training will be provided

• Knowledge of relevant hospital policies and procedures

• Excellent communication and people skills. This is essential as you will be working closely with patients as well as a variety of clinical staff.

Oncology experience is essential for this role, and further training within this clinical speciality will be encouraged and supported.

An opportunity has arisen to develop or consolidate your knowledge and skills as a Band 6 Interventional Nurse in the Diagnostic Imaging Department, predominantly based at Maidstone Hospital, although cross site working is expected. Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and passionate Nurse Colposcopist to join our dynamic Gynaecology team. In this role, you will practice independently as a BSCCP-accredited Nurse Colposcopist, taking on the pivotal role of Colposcopy Screening Programme Lead (CSPL) for the Trust as per Public Health England guidelines. You will lead the Colposcopy nursing service, providing expert care and guidance to women accessing our services while managing and developing a dedicated team of nurses.

You will be responsible for maintaining a cost-effective and high-quality service that aligns with departmental objectives and care group goals. Your duties will include managing a patient caseload within Women’s Services, offering clinical and social support to patients and their families, and fostering the development of evidence-based nursing practices in line with the latest research and guidelines.

Collaboration is key in this role; you will work closely with medical and nursing staff, the management team, and other multidisciplinary team members to ensure the seamless delivery of our Colposcopy Service.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

Clinical Practice:
• Lead the delivery of an advanced specialist nursing service for women accessing the Colposcopy Service.
• Practice independently as a BSCCP-accredited Nurse Colposcopist.
• Coordinate and contribute to Quality Assurance Inspections in collaboration with colleagues.
• Provide specialist nursing advice and support to patients, their families, and other healthcare professionals throughout diagnosis and treatment.
• Ensure continuity and a high standard of evidence-based nursing care, assessing health needs and implementing care plans.
• Order and perform diagnostic tests, manage referrals, and oversee patient admissions and discharges according to agreed protocols.
• Maintain a visible presence in clinics, managing your caseload effectively and ensuring all patients have a comprehensive care plan.
