The role

Day-to-day, you'll:

• Act as the first point of contact for the H&S Advisors
• Escalate issues that cannot be resolved or requires further support to the H&S / Discipline Leads.

You would provide support for patients throughout their cancer pathway from diagnosis, through surgery, chemotherapy and radiotherapy. About the service The Paediatric Occupational Therapy Service at AfC is part of the Integrated Team for Children with Disabilities Service based at the Moor Lane Centre in Chessington, funded jointly by the Royal Borough of Kingston and NHS Kingston. The team provides a service to children and young people within the Kingston Borough, aged 0 - 19, experiencing functional difficulties as a result of neurological or developmental difficulties. The team works across a number of settings including, family homes, mainstream and special schools, and the dedicated clinical space at Moor Lane. Achieving for Children is going through an exciting period of growth and we plan to rapidly increase Special Educational Needs and Disability (SEND) referrals to the service and become the provider of choice in the area of SEND. About the role As a paediatric Occupational Therapist (OT) you will work in a range of settings to provide a high quality occupational therapy service and receive regular supervision and support from an experienced OT. What do you need to be successful in this role:

You’ll have Tech IOSH status as a minimum and be working towards Grad/Chartered membership.

As the Laboratory Health and Safety Manager, you will be responsible for successfully raising awareness of the need for a safe working environment by working closely with laboratory owners and operators.

The main duties and responsibilities will include:

• You will successfully promote a culture of safety awareness across all of the company's sites nationwide.
• You will develop and maintain the health and safety management system including policies, procedures and regulations, including risk assessments and COSHH procedures.
• You will maintain and test continuity plans of the business.
• You will manage safety incident reports and investigations (for both onsite and field based colleagues), and implement both corrective and preventative actions .

What you need to demonstrate:

• We need you to have a degree in a relevant scientific subject.
• You will also need to possess at least 3 years of experience in a health and safety role.
• You will need to be IOSH-qualified and have experience supervising and leading others.
• Possessing the NEBOSH certificate is also highly desirable.
