• Continuously promote and improve knowledge of Chemo Safety products, Vascular Care products, competitive products, sales and promotional skills through the Clinical Support function and MDS field sales organization.

• Participates in trade shows to promote the company’s product line, educate potential and existing customers in the medical community.

Requirements

• BA or BS degree.

• 3 - 5 proven years of sales experience, or comparable experience outside of BD.

• Strong relationship building and interpersonal skills.

• Demonstrable selling skills.

• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office including Word, Excel and Outlook.

• Must possess and maintain a valid state-issued license driver’s license with 3 years of consecutive driving history and meet BD’s auto safety standards’.

Education and Experience Requirements

• Articulate the features/benefits of Ostomy and ancillary product lines and provide knowledge of all aspects of use and maintenance of medical supply equipment.

Job Summary
The Manager, Warehouse Operations Outbound oversees the building’s outbound processing, including picking, packing, and shipping to achieve operational efficiency and safety. Through successful operational and people management, this job delivers on the business unit’s short-term goals, improves profitability, and develops the business unit’s warehouse talent. This job also responds to urgent customer needs or supply disruptions to ensure customer commitments are fulfilled.

Responsibilities

• Oversees daily outbound processing operations including picking, packing, and shipping. Ensures operations are in compliance to the business unit’s standard operating procedures and implements operational changes cascaded from the Site Director.
• Directs people management processes for the warehouse, including staffing, training and development, and talent management for 30-70 staff. • Responds to disruptions in outbound processing and ensures that customer commitments are fulfilled. Communicates with Sales and Customer Service teams within the business unit to understand customer concerns and makes adjustments to operations and people resources in response.

• Provide case management for occupational injuries, and integrated disability management as the liaison between associates, department managers, health care providers, and insurers to minimize worker’s compensation/disability costs and lost-work time.

• Minimize absenteeism and health care costs by on-site provision of professional care for minor illnesses and injuries. 

• Determine appropriateness of any restricted duty requests. Provides guidance on ergonomic issues related to workplace and workstations.

• Ensure employment-related medical screenings and procedures are effective and compliant.

• Provide elevated care per standing orders and medical surveillance protocols.

• Handle Personally-identifiable Health Information (PHI) in communicating with medical providers.

Territory Planning

• Establish and maintain call objectives for geography with minimal consultation with Regional Sales Manager (RSM) to assure proper portfolio balance and planned actions.

• Create effective call plans that include who to contact, how frequently to contact them, and what products to focus on for each call.

BD Life Sciences Segment / Integrated Diagnostic Solutions (IDS) / Specimen Management Business Group

BD Life Sciences provides products for the safe collection and transport of diagnostics specimens, and instruments as well as reagent systems to detect a broad range of infectious diseases, healthcare-associated infections (“HAIs”) and cancers. Job Summary

Reporting to the Associate Director, Medical Affairs, the Principal, Medical Affairs has the responsibility to define and implement the safety and efficacy (S&E) requirements for current and proposed products. The position is also responsible for study design and interpretation of results of feasibility and validation clinical and human factors studies.  Additionally, the Principal provides medical, scientific, and technical leadership and perspective to project teams and other functions such as Regulatory and Quality. This position is responsible for identifying, developing and /or evaluating new technologies and customer solutions in scientific disciplines within and outside of the traditional clinical laboratory.  The Principal initiates and coordinates liaisons with internal/external medical, academic, regulatory and industry individuals or groups in support of business needs.  The position also generates and communicates clinical and technical information to support innovation strategies, technology, and product development, and product lifecycle management for marketed products.  In support of all currently marketed Specimen Management (SM) products, the Principal provides technical support, associate education, troubleshooting, and competitive assessments. 

Responsibilities

• Represents Medical Affairs in Specimen Management innovation, technology development, product development and product lifecycle management teams. Senses and defines key trends and unmet needs in science, technology, medical practice, and health economics. Reviews information and assesses risks related to vendor, material and manufacturing process changes. Provides customer and product knowledge to team. Develops safety and efficacy requirements and a clinical test plan to address S&E, Regulatory and Marketing requirements for new and improved products and gains functional approval of such. Works with the team to identify and evaluate new opportunities and present such to business leaders following the formal Innovation process. Ensures safety, efficacy and clinical utility of the product, technology, and related labelling/promotional material. Collaborates with Regulatory Affairs on regulatory submission activities.

• Reviews and interprets medical/scientific data and study results, and technical literature. Monitors trends in specimen management and other related technologies. Communicates findings to teams and management.

• Interacts with global medical, academic and industry experts to establish strategic direction for innovation, technology, and product development projects.

• Provides clinical support to products entering or currently on the market including training BD associates, troubleshooting, data review, interpretation and presentation, post market study design, publications, preparation, or review of regulatory communications, and addressing quality issues.

• Designs studies, formulates, and conducts scientific investigations, feasibility studies, and due diligence and validation studies related to new technologies and products. Interprets and presents results. Prepares technical reports, abstracts, journal submissions and presents at scientific meetings or within BD.

• Reviews information and assesses risks related to vendor, material, and manufacturing process changes. Designs clinical studies as needed and interprets and presents results.

• Provides medical expertise and leadership for post market surveillance and post market studies.  

Education and Experience:

• BS in a health-related field, MS or PhD desirable

• Knowledge of scientific methodologies and clinical laboratory medicine, including specimen collection and management and preanalytical phase of the total laboratory testing process.

Primary responsibilities include:

• Develops and implements sales and marketing plans, including customer profiling, targeting and call schedules, to ensure achievement of all sales objectives

• Demonstrates the ability to work cooperatively with all BD personnel as a member of the POD structure to achieve regional objectives through the communication of successful tactics and recommendations for continuous improvements in procedures, strategies, and specific processes.

• Works with key support staff and other technical support team members, to develop and implement key account evaluation plans and to update colleagues on a regular basis.

• Generates leads and sales by participating in state, regional, and national meetings as directed by Sales Management.

• Participates on cross-functional product launch teams.  Work closely with the other IDS sales team members and Marketing Product Managers to gather best practice and centers of excellence data.

• Actively participates in all training sessions and demonstrate proficiency by testing or other means as assigned at session completion.

Minimum qualifications include:

• BA/BS required; Life Sciences or Biological areas preferred.

• 3+ years medical sales experience preferred.

• Proven track record in developing new capital equipment business on a yearly basis.

• Must be self-motivated to succeed and have a mastery of the complex sales process.

ROLE SUMMARY

Executive Administrative Lead to Pfizer’s Chief Medical Officer (CMO), Head of Worldwide Medical & Safety, provides administrative and office services of a highly complex and critical nature. The Executive Administrative Lead is expected to be able to work autonomously with exceptional professionalism and attention to detail with work that involves time-sensitive and urgent issues, tight time frames, and in demanding situations. This role will also be expected to think creatively about how we can continue to run the office more efficiently. This role will be a key member of the Office of Pfizer’s CMO.

This position will provide a full range of executive level administrative support to the CMO. The ideal individual will have the ability to exercise good judgment in a diversity of situations, with strong communication, collaboration, administrative, and organizational skills, and the ability to maintain a realistic balance among multiple priorities.

As part of the administrative support team, you are recognized as an advisor to other colleagues in your group due to your comprehensive knowledge and skills in your area and understanding of the larger organization. You are innovative in identifying solutions to problems by taking a broader perspective that benefits the organization. ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES

• Manage sensitive matters with a high level of confidentiality and discretion.
• Monitor CMO’s mailbox including sending and responding to emails on the leader’s behalf, bringing critical/time sensitive matters to immediate attention.
• Manage CMO calendar which includes meeting scheduling, maintaining full year schedule of speaking engagements, conference room reservations, teams meetings, audio/video set-up and associated meeting logistics (i.e., catering, collecting conference agendas and forms, follow-up with conference organizers, etc.)
• Manage complex calendar and anticipate conflicts and use diplomacy to resolve problems in advance.
• Proactively and independently organize and expedite workflow and initiate follow-up when necessary to ensure schedules and deadlines are met.
• Work closely with Chief of Staff on operational planning, updating LT org charts, LT meetings, LT offsites, and other CMO commitments.
• Responsible for all logistics of meetings including conference room reservations, teleconference, videoconference, food ordering and associated meeting logistics.
• Collaborate with Chief of Staff, PX Lead and Communications partners on planning for Town Halls, Extended Leadership Team Meetings, Site Visits and other communication and engagement events.
• Proactively prepare meeting materials in advance
• Prepares registration for conferences and speaking engagements. Provides all information required by conference organizers (bio, photo, speaker form, etc.). 
• Organizes all domestic and international travel for business, including aviation arrangements, hotel accommodations, ground transport, travel documents, visas/passports, and presentation materials for meetings. Prepares detailed itineraries.
• Support logistics and planning of offsites. Research options for meeting venues and cost.
• Prepare expense reports, track reimbursements, and ensure correct AMEX credits/debits; manage purchase orders through Ariba system and tracking invoices.
• Maintain impeccable records and files of CMO documents for auditing purposes.
• Handle the coordination of PE Requests, ensure proper invoice routing and tracking and interfaces with vendors.
• Coordinate and provide key information to other enterprise partners as appropriate.
• Order office supplies and IT equipment as requested.
• Work closely with other Administrative Partners within WMS and across the Pfizer R&D Leadership Team
• Use appropriate discretion in the management of information and stakeholders.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

• 5+ years of demonstrated executive administrative assistant experience with 2+ years providing 1:1 executive level support required.
• Ability to carry out all office and administrative functions proficiently, with high quality on a timely basis required.

Required:

• Must have, or be able to obtain a Secret Clearance.

Education requirement may be met by military or comparable training. If military trained, the individual’s specialty must be as a mental health technician / specialist.
• The contractor shall have no less than 3 years’ experience as a psychiatric technician.
• Must attend psychiatric technicians’ training which will provide a sound foundation / basis to psychology and/or social work to ensure the tech is prepared for the types of individuals and potential illnesses that they will likely deal with. This training shall also address the basics of conflict management, how to de-escalate crisis situations and individuals who are agitated, violent or potentially violent and/or suicidal.
• Must attend training to learn how to intervene and, when required, to restrain violent or potentially violent or suicidal patients by verbal or physical means.
• Must maintain current certification in Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) as certified by the American Heart Association.
• Must provide front and back proof of all training/certs/documentation.
