• Manages and directs Outpatient Services at the Rosebud Services Unit (RSU).

Major duties include, but are not limited to, the following:

• Shares fully in the duties, responsibilities, and authorities of the Chief and must assist support the Chief of SPS in establishing and maintaining a methodical and efficient sterile processing program consistent with consumer demands.
• Must establish and maintain an accurate medical, dental and surgical tracking system, which details specific preventive maintenance performed and equipment availability for patient care use.
• Will plan, organize, direct, train and coordinate all activities associated with a comprehensive sterile processing service.
• Responsible for the collection, receipt, and decontamination of all used soiled medical supplies, surgical instruments, and medical equipment. Decontamination processing requires the specific knowledge to determine what specific mean are utilized to accomplish cleaning, disinfecting and/or pre-sterilization of complex diagnostic medical/surgical equipment, implantable devices, and medical apparatus.
• Accomplishes the inspection, assembly, packaging and terminal sterilization of all medical surgical instrumentation sets, implantable devices, and packs them for use throughout the Medical Center, Operating Room and specialty clinics. It requires knowledge of sterilization methods, operation of the sterilizers and interpretation of biological testing which is of utmost importance.
• Responsible for ensuring the distribution area performs a major role in getting the correct Reusable Medical Devices (RMD) to users and assuring that these supplies are in the correct condition, quality, and location for use.
• Utilizes appropriate inventory management techniques. Coordinates with the personnel that procure SPS' supplies, analyzes usage patterns, problem solves and coordinates inventory activities with secondary supply systems.
• Plans, develops, directs, and maintains a Quality Assurance program ensuring product quality assurance through random sampling, biological testing, and product assessment. Assures the patient's needs are the driving force, places the emphasis on process management and undertaking improvement efforts.
• This position may require travel away from the duty station up to 50% to assist with oversight and management of all sites where sterile processing services are provided within the VA Black Hills Health Care System (VA BHHCS) for support during periods of required coverage.

Duties of the RN Assistant Chief of SPS include, but are not limited to:

• Assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates outcomes in the SPS program.
• Assumes responsibility for the coordination of sterile processing service focused on high level disinfection, sterilization, sterile storage, infection control and prevention, staff education, self-management, and customer satisfaction throughout the continuum of care.
• Ensures that all applicable VHA policies and guidelines are followed and that the American Association of Medical Instrumentation (AAMI) guidelines are followed per VHA Directive 1116(2).
• Executes position responsibilities that demonstrate leadership, experience, and creative approaches to management of SPS processes.
• Demonstrates performance and leadership that is broad enough to impact the entire SPS department.
• Provides leadership for critical and semi-critical RMD, including sterile storage, reprocessing, standard operating procedures (SOP), competency assessment, selection, operation, and maintenance of reprocessing equipment, staff education program for RMD¿s a ad quality management of SPS.
• Assists Chief of SPS with assessing, monitoring, developing, and implementing corrective action plans for instrument processing, decontamination, sterilization, storage, biological monitoring, and high-level disinfection monitoring through an SPS Quality Management system.
• Assists with oversight and availability for consultation of non-critical RMD.
• Assesses the environment, analyzes trends, transmits data, communicates ideas, develops and implements policies, initiates programs and systems, and collaborates in the management of resources.
• Collaborates with the Chief of SPS about evidence-based practice (EBP) infection control relating to sterile processing standards. Specific activities include but are not limited to education program development, evaluating concepts and project development, mentoring staff and medical providers in sterile processing principles and in the implementation of projects, data collection techniques, statistical analysis, and developing evidence based clinical guidelines and protocols.

This position potentially requires:

• Flexibility in schedule and assignments
• Ability to ambulate and stand for long periods of time
• Donning and doffing of PPE
• Driving to community- based outpatient clinics (CBOCs).

The Director of Corporate Governance will provide strategic leadership for the Trust across all aspects of Corporate Governance. As the principal adviser to the Board, the Executive Directors, and the organisation on all aspects of Corporate Governance, the post holder will be working closely with the Chair, Chief Executive, Chairs of Board Committees as well as other senior leaders in the organisation.

About the role

Join our team as a Director of Clinical Operations on a fulltime Monday-Friday, ongoing position, to work at based from Monash Children's Hospital, supporting across multiple sites of Monash Health. We are seeking a creative, collaborative Director of Research who is driven to deliver next-generation BiTE® (bispecific T-cell engager) therapies.

In this vital role, you will be responsible to develop our strategy for new target discovery and validation, and to build a portfolio of preclinical T-cell engager assets focused on solid tumors. The Director will be closely involved in the identification and assessment of internal and external opportunities for technology and platform development to support this strategy. A deep understanding of cancer cell biology and human genetics, broad knowledge of the oncology competitive landscape, and experience with drug discovery and development across therapeutic modalities is required. This is a high visibility role.
