We have a fantastic opportunity for a full time band 5 Sexual Health Nurse to join our team in our level 3 ALL EAST sexual health service, providing integrated sexual health. We are looking for a motivated and dynamic nurse who wish to pursue an exciting career in sexual and reproductive healthcare.

The post will be primarily based at the Ambrose King Centre at the Royal London Hospital, Whitechapel.

Main duties of the job

The Sexual Health Nurse post will provide training to enable the successful candidate to provide care for patients with sexual health and contraceptive needs, delivering treatments and vaccinations that have been prescribed or through the use of Patient Group Directions (PGDs). This will include the provision of HIV Pre Exposure Prophylaxis (PrEP) and subdermal implant contraception. Training will also be provided in microscopy.

The post holder will also provide chaperoning, support and assistance for patients undergoing examination, treatments and procedures by Doctors and Nurse practitioners.

The Sexual Health Nurse post will provide training, enabling the Nurse to provide care for patients with sexual health and contraceptive needs, delivering treatments and vaccinations that have been prescribed or through the use of Patient Group Directions (PGDs). Haringey CAMHS are looking to recruit CWPs to continue to improve children and young people’s mental health services in Haringey. The training forms part of the service transformation initiative delivered by NHS England as part of the Children and Young People’s Psychological Trainings (CYP-PT) programme.

This is a training position post holder will undertake training at Kings College London alongside working in service for Haringey CAMHS. They will be taught to deliver evidence based guided self-help interventions for children and young people experiencing mild to moderate mental health difficulties. The post holder will use their newly developed skills to support children and young people who are referred into the service and trainees will receive supervision to support their professional development.

South West London and St Georges NHS Trust are looking to recruit two graduate psychology applicants for a new role on an apprenticeship programme in Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS) as a trainee Clinical Associate in Psychology (CAP).

This is a new and exciting career and is a training apprenticeship post, combining work and study. As an apprentice, you will be employed to work within a Single Point of Access (SPA) team within our Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service for 18 months as a Band 5 employee.

Full training will be provided, and you will receive regular supervision from a Clinical Psychologist based in one of our SPA CAMHS services.

A comprehensive training programme will be delivered to level 4 standards by attendance at a recognised college of further education or pharmacy training organisation providing the knowledge component of the Principles and Practice for Pharmacy Technicians and supported by further skill-based training in each rotational area.
