We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced, flexible and forward thinking Clinical Endoscopist/trainee Clinical Endoscopists to join us at Barts Health depending on experience/qualification. This will cover Royal London and Mile End Hospital Endoscopy Units. Support for education and mentoring will be provided for the successful candidate to be able to achieve the band 8a (if as band 7).

The qualified Clinical Endoscopist will perform Diagnostic Upper GI endoscopy, and Lower GI endoscopy (or working towards) with JAG certification. The qualified Clinical Endoscopist, if not a qualified non-medical prescriber will be supported to qualify as a prescriber once JAG qualification has been obtained. The qualified Clinical Endoscopist will undertake procedures independently once deemed competent by the Clinical Lead, and act as a mentor to trainees and will be supported to complete train the trainer.

If interested in becoming a trainee, you will be required to complete a training programme of approximately 18-24 months for dual modality. This will include attendance at training courses, completion of practical assessments, JAG training and accreditation by JAG as an independent Endoscopist for upper GI & lower GI endoscopy procedures. You'll work with the MDT and contribute to development, management and delivery of a high quality general and specialist mixed GI endoscopy service. Endoscopy experience or equivalent knowledge would be required to be eligible for this post.

The Post holder will take an active role in ensuring Endoscopy delivers the highest standards of clinical care. This will include supporting the implementation of new nationally agreed directives, programmes, audit and seeking routes to improve/develop the service and role of Endoscopy Nurse or Allied health professional.

The Clinical Endoscopist will be accountable for the care of eligible patients referred for Endoscopy and perform Diagnostic procedure. Responsible for patient post procedure and ensure safe discharge from department.

The post holder will be allocated independent weekly lists across both Royal London Hospital and Mile End Hospital and admin sessions with an agreed job plan.

If the post holder is a trainee they will be allocated specific training lists to undertake supervised scopes as part of the training programme within the agreed time period, a proportion of which should be unassisted. Evidence will be required of the completion rate/outcomes of completed endoscopies, including patient vasovagal episodes, bleeding problems, unplanned admissions and the use of reversal agent. The key performance indicators should be verified and signed off by the Endoscopy Clinical Supervisor and Clinical Lead. The post holder should be observed by their mentor undertaking endoscopies and there is a requirement to submit formative assessments during the training period.

This post would suit a psychologist who thrives in the inpatient setting and is looking for an opportunity to develop a new service for people attending the acute Trust with complex mental health needs.

The Liaison Psychology service will provide specialist input to the Liaison Psychiatry service, while being embedded in a large Clinical Health Psychology service, including specialities in Bariatric Surgery, Burns, HIV & Sexual Health, Intensive Care, Inflammatory Bowel Disease, Pain and Staff Psychology. This is a 6-month job opportunity funded by the Cancer Alliance. The role is critical in improving the accuracy and timeliness of tracking oncology treatment pathways, ensuring that patients receive necessary interventions promptly, and supporting the hospital in meeting national cancer performance targets, particularly the 62-day standard. The role involves facilitating the development, management, and administration of the weekly NMUH cancer multidisciplinary team (MDT) meetings. It is a national cancer standard that all new cases are discussed in a weekly MDT meeting to agree on a management plan.
• Collaborate with cancer services managers and key stakeholders, including cancer site lead consultants, surgeons, histopathologists, radiologists, cancer nurse specialists, physicians, oncologists, medical secretaries, admissions, medical records, and X-ray library.
• Facilitate and administer the weekly cancer MDT meetings.
• Ensure effective tracking of patient oncology pathways, with a focus on meeting national cancer performance standards. This role is essential in streamlining cancer treatment coordination and ensuring that patients are not subject to delays in their treatment plans.
• To ensure that the data for the NHS National Waiting Times Standards for the 14, 31 and 62 day targets is collected, monitored and performance managed prospectively for reporting on a weekly basis; liaising with MDT membership and the cancer managers to ensure compliance with the targets. The cancer targets are in line with national and Trust corporate objectives.

Subject Matter Expert: Insurance – Science Based Targets

Location: UK, Germany, East Coast USA, Mexico.

Purpose and Background:
The Science Based Targets (SBTi) initiative is looking for a Subject Matter Expert in Insurance to support the SBTi Financial Institutions Net Zero (FINZ) Standard, which will introduce insurance underwriting targets.
As the Insurance Subject Matter Expert, the position will focus on finalizing the FINZ standard, working with (re)insurance companies to set FINZ insurance underwriting targets, collaborating with SBTi Corporate and Sector teams to ensure coherence and consistency, and managing one junior SBTi staff.

This role plays an important part in achieving:

- The finalization, publication, and socialization of the insurance components of the SBTi’s new FINZ Standard.
- Lead the development of an Explanatory Note providing additional support on the implementation of the Standard for insurance underwriting.
- Support for the SBTi Target Validation Team (TVT) to develop the Criteria Assessment Indicators for insurance underwriting targets.
- Coordination with the SBTi Impact team on the first tranche of (re)insurance company FINZ SBTs.
- In coordination with SBTi Quality and other teams, support the development of a Monitoring Evaluation and Learning (MEL) framework for tracking FINZ insurance underwriting FINZ SBTs.
- In coordination with the SBTi Research team, support the development of a research paper assessing metrics used by (re)insurance companies with reference to FINZ Standard.

Activity Worker, Hospital Division

Full Time: 37.5 hours per week (Shifts and some weekend working)

We are looking for highly motivated people to be part of a multi-disciplinary team, providing positive care for our service users across Camden and Islington NHS Foundation Trust’s Hospital Division, in the role of Band 3 Activity Worker.

Working across acute inpatient, psychiatric intensive care unit (PICU), rehabilitation and/or older adult wardat Highgate Mental Health Centre,the post-holder will be supervised by the ward OT and will work with the ward team to co-ordinate a programme of meaningful ward activities based on service user choice.

Training will be provided and post holders will be expected to participate in their own skill development. All ward based staff are required to undertake training in the Prevention and Management of Violence and Aggression (PMVA).

The post holder will be ward based, providing a programme of meaningful activity in order to support service user recovery. They will be expected to co-ordinate and run a variety of individual and group activities based on service user choice.

The post holder will liaise closely with nursing and OT staff to maximise opportunities for positive engagement in line with service user care plans.

The working pattern will comprise two shift patterns, including some weekend working.
