The role:

We are looking to support our Training Team by recruiting a bright and enthusiastic Training Coordinator, 5 days per week. This is an exciting opportunity as the role is diverse and challenging.

The training administration team has responsibility for the day to day running of the training courses, including engaging with learners, trainers, markers and awarding bodies. This is a busy department and is the main point of contact (predominantly by phone or email) for learners undertaking our courses. Therefore, a willingness to engage positively with learners and co-workers is essential.

With learners at different stages of their training, no two days will ever be the same - but here's a good overview of what the role involves:

-Liaising with internal stakeholders, training venues, trainers, markers and learners

-First point of contact for student queries re administration and setting up tutor support as required

-Invoicing and preparing Purchase Orders

-Preparation of course materials

-Collation of course work and allocating to Markers

-Disseminating feedback and results to learners

-Maintaining learner records

-Requesting certification from Awarding Bodies

-Preparing and sending certificates to Learners

This post will be principally focussed on leading on future REF submissions for the University of Northampton and managing the Research Support Team to develop and deliver support that enables our Researchers to maximise their potential. About You

Are you a Care Manager looking for a fresh opportunity with flexibility and excellent benefits? As an Adult Care Trainer, you can enjoy a Monday-to-Friday role, say goodbye to weekend and evening shifts, and help develop the next generation of care professionals.

As an Adult Care Trainer, you'll balance working from home with regional travel, visiting settings to support and train apprentices. You’ll enjoy a regular Monday-to-Friday schedule, managing your own diary and choosing when to meet your apprentices in person.

What You’ll Do


Work with apprentices in care homes and online, sharing your knowledge and industry experience to train and develop the next generation of care professionals.
Tailor learning plans to meet the needs of each apprentice, ensuring they get the support they need to succeed.
Support apprentices’ development by teaching them the importance of English and maths in their care roles, helping them with functional skills as required.
Build relationships with employers and provide feedback on how their apprentices are progressing.
Mentor your learners through face-to-face visits, online sessions, and ongoing guidance, helping them achieve their qualifications and become confident in their roles.


About You

We’re looking for passionate care professionals who want to share their knowledge and experience to make a meaningful impact on the adult care industry. If you’ve held a leadership position in care and are ready for a new challenge, this role is ideal for you.

To succeed in this role, you’ll need:


Experience as a Care Manager, Registered Manager, or Deputy Care Manager.
A Level 5 qualification in Adult Care (or equivalent).
Strong technology skills and the ability to manage administrative tasks efficiently.
A valid driving licence and access to your own vehicle for travel within your region.
A willingness to work towards Level 2 (GCSE) qualifications in English and maths, support will be provided.

What skills and experience we're looking for

The role

We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated individual to join our successful Geography department. We are looking for someone who is committed, innovative and solutions focused. There are plenty of opportunities to get involved with extra-curricular activities as well as numerous CPD opportunities both within the department and externally. A passion for Geography is a must as well as a keen desire to continuously develop subject knowledge and pedagogy. You will be well supported by a friendly and knowledgeable team and a fully resourced department.

About You

You will have Qualified Teacher Status and are a strong classroom practitioner who motivates and inspires students with your passion for Geography. You have the ability to achieve success within a secondary school setting and are able to deliver ‘good’ to ‘outstanding’ lessons. You have good interpersonal skills, sound behaviour management skills and have the highest expectations of yourself and our students.
