A Lecturer will be required to;

• Have substantial experience the Further Education and Training sector
• Hold a UK recognised teaching qualification (DTLLS, PCET, PGCE or QCF Level 5 Diploma in Education)
• Have previous experience working as a Lecturer or Teacher and a successful record in retention and achievement
• Hold a Level 3 or above qualification in Aesthetics.
• Hold GCSEs in both Maths and English, at grade A-C or equivalent
• A valid DBS registered with the online update service or be willing to apply for a new one
• Proven experience of consistently good/outstanding teaching
• Be able to travel to, in and around Newcastle.

Your Role as an Adult Care Trainer:

As an Adult Care Trainer, you’ll combine working from home with visiting care settings across your region to train and support adult care apprentices. You'll have the autonomy to manage your own diary, choose when to meet learners face-to-face and deliver online sessions to suit their needs.

What You’ll Do:


Train and mentor adult care apprentices in care homes and online, passing on your expertise to the next generation of care professionals.
Tailor learning plans to meet the individual needs of your apprentices, ensuring they are well-supported throughout their development.
Guide apprentices in functional skills by showing them how English and maths are essential to their roles and helping them strengthen these skills.
Build strong relationships with care home employers, providing them with feedback on their apprentices’ progress and development.
Support and mentor apprentices through face-to-face visits, online training, and ongoing guidance to help them achieve their qualifications and become confident professionals.


About You:

To succeed in this role, you’ll need:


Experience at Senior Care Worker, Deputy Care Manager, or Care Manager level.

A valid driving licence and access to your own vehicle for travel within your region.
A willingness to work towards Level 2 (GCSE) qualifications in English and maths, with support provided to help you achieve them.

Your new role

In your new role, you will be teaching science to KS3 and KS4 students in classes of 20-30. This full-time position is on a long-term supply basis. You will be responsible for safeguarding, student welfare, and personal care, serving as an effective role model. By doing so, you will support the school's mission and values. While you won't be required to take on full teaching responsibilities, it would be preferred if you could occasionally plan and deliver engaging lessons and mark work as needed. There is also the potential for this role to become permanent.
