An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior Specialist Research Nurse to join the Oxford Bone Marrow Transplant (BMT) team at the Churchill Hospital.

The Senior Specialist Nurse will lead the nursing team to provide expert nursing care to patients referred to the Oxford BMT service contributing to this within the BMT pathway through management of their own caseload.

The post holder will work in collaboration with the Haematology Trial Unit , which is involved in a wide spectrum of clinical research relating to blood disorders including advanced cellular therapeutics. The team works in collaboration with academic and commercial partners/other funding bodies and is responsible for the delivery of the phase 1-3 haematology research portfolio.

We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Research Scientist in Immunopeptidomics to join our research programme based at the Oxford Centre for Immuno-Oncology in the Nuffield Department of Medicine.

The research programme is dedicated to unravelling the molecular architecture of immune responses in tumour tissues. In this role, your primary objective will involve profiling the immunopeptidomes of individual patients using LC-MS/MS techniques and to map the tumour-antigen landscape across large patient cohorts.

The key responsibilities of this role include managing the LC-MS facility to ensure operational instrumentation and support for specialized Immunopeptidomics applications. You will, lead the generation of proteomic and Immunopeptidomics datasets from cells and primary mammalian tissue samples using LC-MS/MS platforms, providing high-quality data to academic partners and industrial sponsors, Additionally, you will manage your own academic research and administrative activities co-ordinating multiple aspects of work to meet deadlines.

It is essential that you hold a relevant PhD/DPhil in Biochemistry, Immunology or a related subject with post-qualification research experience. You will have hands-on experience with LC-MS/MS instruments (Thermo and/or Bruker), together with experience applying a range of proteomics methods to biomedical research questions, including proficiency in DDA, DIA, PRM methods and analysis (e.g. Peaks, MS fragger, MaxQuant, and Skyline). You will have excellent communication and interactive skills and a strong collaborative attitude. Finally, you will have a proven ability to contribute to multiple projects simultaneously with learning agility and scientific rigor.

An opportunity has arisen for up to three motivated Lecturers/Senior Lecturers in Occupational Therapy (OT) to join our team at Oxford Brookes.

Located within the Department for Sport, Health Science and Social Work, we provide pre-registration OT programmes at BSc and MSc degree levels. The Occupational Therapy programmes are primarily delivered in the healthcare teaching facilities at the Marston Road site of the University, offering state-of-the art simulation skills labs and teaching facilities, and close to local clinical and research sites of excellence.

We would expect our new Lecturers/Senior Lecturers to undertake academic and academic-related responsibilities in the delivery of high quality Occupational Therapy. The Oxford Critical Care fellowship programme is open to applications for our advanced simulation and education fellowship. The fellowship aims to
simultaneously develop experience and formal qualifications for simulation based critical care teaching with dedicated weekly activity. The remainder of
the fellowship is delivered within the Oxford Critical Care at the John Radcliffe Hospital site and the ICU at the Churchill Hospital.

Post will allow the development of the following areas:
1 Training in technology-enhanced education. Links with the OxSTaR
Centre will enable candidates to develop technical, pedagogical and facilitation skills in technology-enhanced education, including simulation and virtual reality. As a member of the OxSTaR faculty, you will be supervised and supported to become a confident, independent facilitator for various multi-disciplinary and cross-speciality educational activities.

2 Formal high-level teaching qualification. Successful candidates will
be encouraged to complete a formal educational qualification during
the fellowship. The exact course is open to dialogue with your
supervisor but should reflect the chosen focus of the fellowship year.

Your new role
As a senior Machine Learning specialist you will be involved in the development and validation of the company's computational platform, working with a number of internal stakeholders and senior management to drive projects forward related to target identification and biomarker discovery.
You will help manage bioinformatics and computational projects within drug discovery & development, looking at algorithm and model development & implementation. You will also be working closely with biology and computer science / software colleagues to support them on cross-functional projects.

What you\'ll need to succeed
Aside from the ability to work both independently and as part of a wider team, you should have:

• A PhD (or equivalent experience) in maths, biology, bioinformatics, physics, statistics, data science or a related subject.
  Candidates without a PhD but with a background in the biotech/pharma industry are also encouraged to apply.
• Experience using Machine Learning (and ideally Deep Learning) approaches to model/predict or analyse biological data sets
• Hands-on expertise of designing, managing and delivering computational projects and analyses of large-scale biological data sets: eg bulk / scRNAseq, protein structural modelling or protein sequence data
• Good programming skills in Python and/or R, eg having developed or optimised tools, pipelines, algorithms or similar

• An interest in problem-solving

Candidates who have used advanced ML approaches, eg LLMs, transformers or similar approaches are at an advantage, as are those who have a track record of developing ML based algorithms.

We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Research Software Engineers to join the newly established Competency Centre for Cloud Computing and AI/ML, which is part of the University’s Digital Transformation. The aim of the Competency Centre is to provide a centralised expertise on the use of public cloud computing for research applications, particularly in the context of contemporary AI/ML approaches.

Working across the university you will provide centralised expertise working with researchers with diverse research questions who require access to cloud computing capabilities. This will require significant software engineering experience and also hands-on experience of using public cloud infrastructure at different scales. Many of the use-cases will require the implementation of AI/ML methods and you will work closely with the OxRSE team to identify opportunities and pull together innovative software solutions. You will also lead in the development and delivery of training courses and workshops to other researchers within the University.

To be successful in this role, you will hold a PhD/DPhil with a significant computational component, with post-qualification research experience or equivalent experience in a similar role. You will have a strong track record of the use of public cloud service providers (e.g. GCP, AWS, Azure, Oracle etc.), and have significant experience with one programming language used for research (e.g. Python, C++, C, Matlab, R, Java, Javascript, Fortran, Rust). It is important that you have excellent communication skills, including the ability to communicate with researchers, write for publication, present research proposals and results, and represent the group at meetings, and be able to work collaboratively and as part of a team.
