• Instruct BASIC and advanced immigration courses.
• Design, develop, and revise course content.
• Maintain and assure specific course content is current, technically accurate, sound and consistent with established agency goals and operational policies.

• Serve as a Training Officer and subject matter expert in training and development requirements of functions and operations for USCIS Electronic Immigration System (ELIS) case processing, Benefits Hub, and other electronic case management systems.
• Provide training facilitation, curriculum development and overall coordination of the national training program, both virtually and in-person, and works with management to identify individual and broad based training needs.
• Facilitate the professional development of all USCIS employees by identifying USCIS ELIS training events and opportunities, notifying employees of opportunities, and consulting with employees and their supervisors regarding individual development.
• Act as subject matter expert on the adjudication of ELIS and Benefits Hub case processing functionalities and electronic peripheral systems.
• Perform analytical and evaluative work in analyzing proposed legislation as to its possible effect on the adjudication program and recommend changes where appropriate.

• Develop and apply statistical theories, methods, and techniques to analyze and interpret data, providing insights and recommendations to support data-driven decision and policy making processes within the organization.
• Design and implement data collection and processing methods, ensuring data quality, accuracy, and relevance to research objectives.
• Design, implement and maintain data pipelines to transform raw data into a common data model, annotate data and metadata with controlled vocabulary terms (indexing), and convert data to graph format.
• Contribute to the development of new methodologies and approaches in the field of semantic technology by sharing knowledge and expertise with colleagues.
• Adhere to ethical guidelines and maintain data confidentiality, ensuring the responsible conduct of research and compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and policies.

What will I do in this position if hired?

In this position, you will serve as a Personnel Research Psychologist.
Typical assignments include:

• The development, validation, and administration of cognitive and non-cognitive competency assessments for selection and diagnostic purposes. This includes job analysis, written and non-written tests, job knowledge tests, performance tests, and computer simulations.
• The development and administration of organizational assessments to assess climate and organizational outcomes, including employee climate, customer satisfaction, exit, and custom surveys.
• Responsible for conducting research and applying innovative assessment procedures and technologies to develop practical solutions to human resources management problems.

Main Purpose of the Role

To have overall responsibility for internal quality assurance of provision within the area of responsibility. To implement and support monitoring and applying compliance with SCL’s Gold Standards. To maintain and improve SCL’s quality certifications and direct claim status. This will include leading and supporting inspections and audits conducted by external agencies and to support the self-assessment process to promote quality improvement across all divisions.

Key Responsibilities

The IQA will lead in the delivery and assessment of high-quality learning and qualifications for learners and drive robust IQA processes for Study programmes. The IQA will ensure learners achieve their planned learning aim and make progression. The IQA will work with SCL’s Director of Quality, National Quality Manager and Quality Improvement team to ensure the wider SCL quality strategy is implemented. The IQA will manage and collect feedback from learners on programme and monitor quality of delivery within the programmes on offer and report changes in quality and compliance on trends on the learner journey to the National Quality Manager.

Key Skills

• Level 5 Teaching qualification.
• 5+ years’ experience of BTEC and/or NCFE delivery and assessment.
• Strong analytical skills.
• Exceptional attention to detail
• Strong communication skills and the ability to multitask and influence.
• Able to build working relationships at senior level.
• GCSE English and Maths (C or above or key skill equivalent)
• Competent in Microsoft packages and the ability to pick up systems quickly)
• Highly organised and experienced in managing high pressured events.
• Able to travel nationally when required.

About the role

Balfour Beatty are looking for a Environmental Trainer to join our Balfour Beatty Asset & Technology Solutions team. In this role you will work with true experts who will share their knowledge and provide support, encouragement and invaluable feedback so you never stop learning.

As an Environmental Trainer, you will deliver Balfour Beattys ESA (Environmental Site Awareness) training programme across the UK, with the potential to deliver additional carbon-based modules and other environmental sustainability courses in the future. Course delivery will predominantly be in a face-to-face classroom environment.

The successful candidate can be based anywhere in the UK, and will be required to travel on a regular basis to deliver classroom based training to our sites throughout the UK. A company car will be provided with the role and all expenses covered for any overnight stays.

What you'll be doing

The Environmental Trainer will:

• Actively contribute to the development and update of Balfour Beatty’s environmental sustainability training courses.
• Provide training on a range of environmental sustainability areas covering all aspects of environmental compliance and best practice and contributing to the effective delivery of environmental services across the company.
• Join a team of professional trainers to deliver Balfour Beatty’s ESA (Environmental Site Awareness) training programme integrated with Balfour Beatty requirements.
• Support the full range of Sustainability training activities within the UK, ultimately enabling the delivery of Balfour Beatty’s Sustainability strategy, Building New Futures
• Development and update of training course material including liaising with internal subject matter experts to develop new course content.

Who we're looking for

We're looking for an Environmental Sustainability Professional with verifiable construction industry experience in the field, that holds a formal training qualification, equivalent to a Level 3 Award in education and training (AET)

The following qualities/experience are essential:

• A relevant degree or equivalent in an environmental discipline
• Thorough working knowledge of current environmental legislation across England, Wales and Scotland
• Experience in a site-based environmental role within the construction industry
• Strong working knowledge of the construction sector
• Level 3 Award in education and training (AET) (or equivalent)
• Valid driving licence and willingness to travel
• Proficient in MS Office Word, Outlook and Teams

The following qualities/experience are desirable:

• Appropriate IEMA or equivalent professional accreditation
