As an INTELLIGENCE RESEARCH SPECIALIST(JUNIOR INTELLIGENCE ANALYST), you will:

• Identify new and pertinent data and conduct research and data analysis

• Reconcile occasional conflicting data sources
• Prepare organized presentations of studies

What will I do in this position if hired?

In this Training Specialist position, you will serve as a Training Specialist within the Hazard Mitigation Cadre Management Branch.

Typical assignments include:

• Coordinating with the Reservist Program Manager and Direct Charge CORE Program Managers as requested to analyze training records as part of the training needs assessment process under the guidance of a higher graded specialist.
• Developing and maintaining statistical data required for reporting and monitors cadre personnel FQS progress while addressing emergent training issues and concerns under the guidance of a higher graded specialists.
• Assisting in developing training materials and conducts classes in proper operation and maintenance procedures under the guidance of a higher graded specialist.
• Conducting training courses.
• Responding to inquiries from the field.

Duties include but not limited to:

• Serve as a Police Officer Corporal (Instructor) and administer and coordinate the education and training program for Police Service from initial-entry training to assessment, in-services training, and retraining of Officers throughout the year.

The incumbent reports to the Deputy Director and the Director of ESP, and provides training and assistance to probation officers, prosecutors, defense attorneys, and judges on the federal sentencing guidelines and related sentencing issues. The incumbent performs a variety of tasks and responsibilities dealing with federal sentencing in general, and the federal sentencing guidelines, in particular. This position requires relocation to the Washington DC metro area and requires moderate to frequent travel within the 50 states and territories of the United States.

Provides assistance and/or performs work to facilitate actions for major segments of complex intelligence, investigative and analytical activities for a broad geographical area. Gathers sensitive evidence and intelligence information that aids and enhances the effectiveness and efficiency of the United States Capitol Police (USCP) protective security programs and services.

The position of Deputy Assistant Director - Chief Learning Officer manages and directs the development of ATF's training objectives and conducts assessments of ATF's Service operational and administrative programs to identify training needs and develops annual training plans, to ensure program management and goals are achieved through the delegation of authority of supervision and guidance to subordinate section supervisors.

The Deputy Administrator oversees the national office operations, including the development of program-wide policy, education services, program performance, and program monitoring. The incumbent manages and/or monitors resources and budget to support program performance goals that align with agency priorities and works with Deputy Administrator for Regional Office Operations as well as with the regional offices to drive integration of Job Corps into local and state workforce development systems.
