As Office & Operations Support & Resilience Manager, you will report to the Contract Director. You will be a highly organised, efficient multitasking and flexible individual who is keen to be part of a vibrant office environment. As part of the role for Operational and Resilience support duties, you will provide support to the Senior Management Team and ensure that the MWS Southern Water Programme runs smoothly and efficiently.
The Falmer office will have approximately 30 personnel, hot desks and multiple meeting rooms and be shared with other contractors and clients. The role also provides ad hoc support to business development and support where required to the Framework senior Leadership Team including managing Framework management information hub, managing access to Group Policies and procedures, assisting with compliance for Absence, sickness and holiday reporting, Timesheet and overtime collation along side other key duties such as co-ordinating Events and Briefings, Management Diaries for Client/Monthly Framework Reporting.

About Ayla

Ayla is an intelligent and determined young lady who is transitioning from hospital into her own home. Ayla has a bubbly, lively personality with a sarcastic, outrageous, funny sense of humour. Ayla’s biggest passion is being a voice for the autistic community. Ayla is a trainer delivering autism training across West Sussex and Brighton and Hove. Ayla is dedicated to using her lived experience as a trainer to embrace neurodiversity and speak up for those who face injustice.

Ayla enjoys studying and learning about the latest research and thinking around autism.

In Ayla’s spare time, she enjoys music, trampolining and fashion. Ayla is in a band and writes her own lyrics and poetry about politics as well as playing electric and bass guitar and the drums. Ayla likes going out for drives and getting out and about to explore new areas. Ayla would like to go on holidays and have people supporting her who would enjoy this too.

It's important to gain a true connection with Ayla and for the staff that develop an instant emotional connection with her it's a bonus. It's important to go with Ayla’s flow to get an understanding of her and her needs as well as gain her respect before learning the right way to support her. Ayla requires someone who is willing to approach things this way and takes the time to learn from her as she is the expert on herself.

Ayla is autistic and has moderate Learning Disability, heightened anxiety, obsessive-compulsive disorder and pathological demand avoidance which at times can lead to challenging behaviour as a result of distress. Ayla is also diagnosed with a sleep disorder, rheumatoid arthritis, lupus and Raynaud's. Ayla has interactable epilepsy which is well controlled by medication. Ayla requires a confident staff team that uses a humanistic approach to engage, listen and empower her to make choices.

What you will be doing

As a Senior Support Worker some of your key responsibilities will include organising and overseeing the smooth running of a shift, ensuring the wellbeing of all service users, responding to any challenges or concerns and supervising support staff. Working at Brighton & Hove Clinic, you will join the multidisciplinary team that provides CAMHS Tier 4 service for young people aged 12 - 18 years with a prime diagnosis of eating disorders and who may have other mental health conditions.

Combining the NICE guidelines recommended therapies, the service creates bespoke programmes that provide person-centred care to support each person’s physical, medical and mental health needs. Young people will participate in psycho-education to support their care plans, and are given the opportunity to engage in therapeutic programmes such as mindfulness, family and trauma therapy.

Working alongside the individual and their families, the MDT will collaboratively create care plans and risk assessments. You will empower individuals to manage and improve their health through their treatment within the community.

The service operates 24/7. You will work shift patterns including weekends, bank holidays and nights.
