Key Responsibilities Responsible and accountable on a day-to-day basis for information governance work in the Trust. Responsible for ensuring compliance with the NHS Code of Practice, Data Protection Act and Common Law Duty of Confidentiality. Manage and coordinate projects required for implementation of information governance and information security across the Trust. Establish, maintain, and monitor the required security levels for accessing data held on both manual and electronic system records ensuring compliance with Data Protection Act and Caldicott recommendations. Work with other providers, such as health, social services, police etc. to comply with any lawful information governance requirements. Ensure compliance with UK GDPR 2016and Data Protection Act 2018 and any other legal/national requirements. Provide information security and Electronic Patient Record privacy support and advice to the Trust; Lead on ensuring compliance and conformance with the legal and regulatory framework covering information security and privacy and relevant DSPT requirements. Co-ordinate the necessary response and resolution activities following a suspected or actual data security incident or breach. Continuously assess, audit and review, any shortfalls with current security measures compared to the levels required at a policy level thus highlighting deficiencies for remedial action. Provide regular briefings to the Associate Director of Records and Privacy prior to meetings of the Information Governance Steering Group (IGSG) or similar group/board on the effectiveness of information security and privacy functions. Contribute to decision making and carry through decisions made by the IGSG or other relevant group/boards or the Trust Board. Maintain currency with information security and security technologies and coordinate with cyber colleagues as needed to enable measures to be implemented where and when necessary/desirable. Responsible for reporting accurate figures on Information Governance training. This requires a very high level of accuracy to ensure the DSPT target is met. Oversee the Trust compliance with the Freedom of Information Act 2000 so that all FOIA requests are processed within the legal timescales. Provide specialist expert advice and support to the Trusts Senior Information Risk Owner (SIRO) ensuring delivery of the SIROs annual work programme showing compliance with the NHS Digital Information Risk Management standards. Head the IG team with management of IG staff, ensuring budgetary resources are used effectively. Tasks Own the pipeline on Data Protection Impact Assessments (DPIAs) and Data Sharing Agreements (DSAs.) Manage the Information Asset Register. Coordinate engagement with Information Asset Owners ensuring their services and electronic systems are compliant with information governance standards and risk-assessed annually and fed into the Annual Trust Board SIRO assurance statement. Provide ad hoc advice and support on IG and IS matters. Ensures that all staff have appropriate IG training. Escalate to the DPO whenever breaches are discovered. Manage internal Data Protection activities by close liaison with senior clinical and non-clinical colleagues to enable and support both operational and strategic decision-making. Conduct internal audits and privacy reports. Deputise for the Associate Director of Records and Privacy and the Data Protection Officer when necessary. Provide additional support to the AD Records and Privacy / DPO for contact with the Information Commissioners Office and provide advice on complex Data Protection issues, procurement decisions, Information / Cyber Security, and Information Sharing. Coordinate with the Head of Records and the Records Management team leader on common issues. Applications are invited for the post of Postdoctoral Research Associate on Pyroelectric Accelerator Technology in the Department of Physics, within the School of Engineering, Physical and Mathematical Sciences (EPMS) at Royal Holloway, University of London.

The John Adams Institute for Accelerator Science at Royal Holloway has established a Pyroelectric Accelerator facility to delve into the intricate properties of pyroelectric materials under extreme excitation conditions. This unique facility enables the generation of charged particles and X-rays by thermoelectric conversion and unveils critical insights into the pyroelectric effect, necessary to develop compact and efficient sources.

The pyroelectric accelerator technology applies a temperature change to a lithium tantalate crystal (LiTaO3) within moderate vacuum conditions (<10-2 Torr) to generate electric fields of 105 - 106 V/cm. When the crystal becomes polarized in response to a temperature gradient, the intense electric field triggers field electron emission and impact ionization of the surrounding material and residual gas molecules. The resulting electrons are accelerated within the electric field and interact in matter to produce bremsstrahlung and characteristic X-rays.

This technology may find application in various fields such as material identification and elemental analysis, X-ray fluorescence and nano-structural analysis, or for use as an alternative to electron irradiation in medical applications, ion mass spectroscopy, and for calibration of neutrino and dark matter detectors.

The post-holder will aim to further develop the pyroelectric facility, supervise BSc and MSci students, publish the results in peer-reviewed journals, maintain the equipment, and perform advanced simulations of the particle dynamics in the pyroelectric accelerator.

This fixed-term position is funded by John Adams Institute core grant until 31 March 2025. The postholder will be supervised by Dr. Pavel Karataev. The successful applicant will have a track record of excellence in pyroelectricity and pyroelectric accelerators, hardware automation and complex data acquisition systems and be qualified with a doctorate in a relevant field.

What you will do:


Collaborate with and learn from the other SDRs in the team as well as the Senior SDR Manager who has a wealth of experience to deelop targeted lists, call strategies, and messaging to drive booked meetings with prospects
Gain industry knowledge and endor training to research & develop accounts, identify key players, generate interest, and identify compelling events
Generate new business opportunities to fuel Opus’ pipeline
Prospect to companies ia cold calling, email sequences, social selling on LinkedIn.
Learn and maintain an in-depth knowledge of Opus’ core serices and vendor solutions
Understand Opus’ Ideal Customer Profile (ICP) who they are and how they buy
Manage, track, and report on all actiities and results using Microsoft Dynamic CRM
Exceed monthly/quarterly targets for Booked Meetings

As a charity we are embarking on an exciting new project to upgrade our Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS). To ensure the successful implementation of our new system, we're looking for a LIMS Trainer to join our Learning Foundation.

As a LIMS Trainer, you will work with the Laboratory Information Management Training Programme Manager and other Trainers to deliver a best-in-class systems training curriculum across the charity that meets the learning needs of Nuffield Health professionals.

You'll work across several of our locations delivering systems training as we roll out our exciting new LIMS upgrade.

As our Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS) Trainer, you will:

• Conduct on-site training sessions to Nuffield Health colleagues on the configuration, and utilisation of our LIMS.

• Serve as a subject matter expert on LIMS functionality.

• Provide ongoing support and troubleshooting assistance to teams post-training to ensure successful adoption of our LIMS.

• Support the design and delivery of best-in-class bespoke learning solutions (both in-house and in conjunction with expert third parties) that utilise appropriate learning methodologies. These include blended learning approaches such as: e-learning, practical workshops, toolkits, virtual classrooms; F2F approaches e.g., F2F delivery, simulation, practice-based learning; experiential learning and coaching.

• Work with the Foundation's Learning Partners and wider business stakeholders to understand the learning needs of professional groups.

• Lead on system training projects and programmes as required.

To succeed as our LIMS Systems Trainer, you will have:

• A Bachelor's degree in Biomedical Sciences, Biology, Biochemistry, or a related field or relevant work experience.

• Experience working in a laboratory environment

• Proven experience in technical training, with the ability to effectively communicate technical information to diverse audiences.

• Experience of learning design and delivery

• Knowledge of Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS), with experience in configuring, implementing, or using LIMS in biomedical applications would be an advantage.
