This position is a mission critical occupation and is responsible for the analysis of system and/or security requirements, the development and implementation of mission critical applications for the agency's Information Technology operations.

As an IT Specialist (Project Manager), you will be responsible for planning and managing a wide variety of IT Projects.

Your major duties and responsibilities will include:

• Working with end users and stakeholders to elicit, clearly define, and prioritize business, functional, technical, security, user interface design, and data requirement for IT projects.
• Communicating clearly and collaborating with both technical and non-technical customers to troubleshoot and resolve issues and to identify practical solutions.
• Analyzing and developing solutions or providing assessments of critical IT issues, such as integration/interoperability issues, emerging technologies and their application/business processes, and optimization of existing architecture.
• Planning and managing IT projects involving interrelated technology specialty areas and multiple stages of the systems development lifecycle.
• Identifying and tracking project risks and taking action to mitigate, close, or avoid risks.
• Creating charters, project plans, business cases, requirements documents, statements of work, risk management plans, cost estimates, and other documentation to support the project and describe overall project scope, work schedule, and business benefits/value.
