Optical Customer Service Advisor- Role

• Head office based role
• Provide customers with a variety of solutions, support and information at the time of interaction. Topics include order chase, order place, order queries, stock issues, technical, resolve EDI queries, deliveries, pricing and promotion.
• Deliver Customer call backs to agreed timeline
• Log all calls received or made
• Accurately and precisely enter/process orders, POS and credits same day, applying knowledge of products
• Expedite urgent orders
• Resolve technical issues using help desk function if necessary
• Contract account managers with any account related issues
• To build long term relationships with our customer & to build rapport on every customer touch point
• Any other departmental function as directed by the Manager
• Liaise with other departments

Optical Customer Advisor - Requirements

• 1+ years experience of working as an Optical Assistant
• Excellent understanding of customer service
• Ability to develop relationships

Eligibility Criteria:

To be eligible for the apprenticeship you are required to hold the following minimum eligibility criteria:

• Hold a valid passport/birth certificate or residence permit.
• Have the right to live and work in the UK.
• Must have lived in the UK and/or EEA for 3 years prior to apprenticeship start date or hold some form of exemption.
• Not be in full-time education or be undertaking another apprenticeship by the apprenticeship start date.
• You must not hold an existing qualification at the same or higher level in a similar subject.
• You must hold GCSEs in Maths and English at Grade 4 or equivalent or be willing to undertake a functional skills assessment.

A well established family-owned manufacturing business operating from the head office in Blackpool, is now searching for a Business Support Officer to help and support the operations and sales department on a permanent full-time basis. You will be responsible for day-to-day movement of all materials despatched, transport and all other relevant documentation.The working structure of this role is Monday to Friday 8am - 4pm with an hour's lunch break.
Your new role

• As Business Support Officer, your role will include running reports, filling, answering phone calls and e-mails both internal and external.
• Any other reasonable task requested by the directors would also be included. Along with the preparation of orders for dispatch and other customer specific requirements, i.e., quality certificates, label requirements.
• Order transport as required and liaise with freight forwarders and carriers, printing of batch sheets and labels. Whilst also liaising with production, warehouse, planning, purchasing and sales.

What you'll need to succeed

• To be successful in securing this position, you should be self-motivated, positive, ambitious and hardworking.
• You must be comfortable working within a small team and confident to engage with office and external staff to build strong relationships.
• This role requires a lot of data entry tasks; therefore, you should have good attention to detail and be able to work in a fast-paced environment, including additional IT skills (including Microsoft, such as Word and Excel).
• It is imperative that you have excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
• Please note, previous experience within Administration is required.
