More detail about the role: The Logistics & Post Department is looking to recruit an enthusiastic individual to fill the position of Logistics & Post Assistant in our busy department. Logistics duties will include receiving, unpacking and checking deliveries from suppliers. To order (to agreed stock levels), unpack and put away stock on wards/departments. These services are provided over the Wonford, Heavitree and Nightingale Exeter sites. Duties also include picking and packing items in our offsite warehouse. Post room duties include delivering and collecting post throughout the main Wonford Hospital site and franking outgoing post. What do I need? - No experience is needed as a full 2-day technical service familiarisation seminar available, at a site local to you. You do not need your own vehicle and there is no initial outlay of any cost. We do however require the following (essential):

• Held a full UK Manual Driver Licence for at least 2 years (registered to your current home address).
• No more than 9 points on your licence (and no serious motoring offences).
• Aged 21 or over (for insurance purposes).
• Are punctual and reliable with a polite and professional demeanour.
• Excellent customer service skills.

What will I be doing? - You will be collecting a variety of different vehicles from clients, checking they are safe for you to drive and delivering these to the required destination. On some occasions you may carry out an inspection on the vehicles.

• Handling vehicles with care and professionalism.
• Keeping clients informed of estimated arrival time and any possible delays.

Main Tasks & Responsibilities

• Organise the delivery and collection of vehicles to maximise service standards and minimise costs
• Source vehicles to meet customer bookings, working with the central fleet team and local branches
• Ensure the accurate completion of all vehicle documentation on the in house rental system
• Organise repairs and warranty work to vehicles where necessary
• Accurately complete all fuel documentation daily and ensure competent members of staff receive fuel deliveries in accordance with relevant legislation
• Identify and report new business opportunities
