The role:
As a Marketing Specialist, you will be responsible for developing and coordinating advertising strategies and events. The research you conduct will determine the market for new product offerings as well as address and develop market opportunities for new and existing product offerings.
What is required of you:
Develop and implement advertising policies and campaigns to support sales objectives, while ensuring effective consumer awareness and promotion of product attributes
Provide strategic advice to executives and clients on advertising strategies and campaigns, targeting specific markets and creating consumer awareness
Coordinate the production of advertising campaigns, including activities such as artwork, copywriting, media scripting and media placement, while adhering to time and budget constraints
Analyse consumer data to identify patterns, preferences, and trends, enabling informed marketing decisions
Interpret and predict current and future consumer trends to stay ahead of market demands
Conduct research to identify potential demand and market characteristics for new products, collecting and analysing statistical information
Reaching out to potential keynote speakers and getting them to jump onboard with our current campaigns
Contribute to business growth and development through the preparation and execution of marketing objectives, policies, and programs
Commission and undertake market research to identify market opportunities for both new and existing products
Provide advice on various marketing elements, including product mix, pricing, advertising, sales promotion, selling techniques, and distribution channels
Competencies:
Superior verbal communication skills to effectively advise executives and clients on advertising strategies and campaigns
Demonstrate proficiency in written communication for crafting compelling marketing content
Ability to conduct market research to gather data and insights on potential demand and market characteristics
Innovative thinking and creativity to develop engaging advertising campaigns and stand out in the market
Strong analytical skills to interpret data, predict consumer trends, and make informed marketing decisions
Flexibility to adapt to changing market conditions, consumer preferences, and industry trends
Strong coordination and organisational skills to oversee the production of advertising campaigns within time and budget constraints
Ability to influence and negotiate with senior decision makers
Willingness to travel nationally and internationally as required
Display a switched on, professional, and resilient attitude
Prerequisites:
Tertiary qualification highly regarded, but not an essential requirement
5 years of relevant experience may be substituted for a qualification
