The role
As a SAP Functional Analyst, you'll have a role that's out of the ordinary. This is a crucial role and is responsible for the functional support, analysis, configuration and continuous improvement of the SAP Procurement & Supply Chain.
Day-to-day, you'll provide specialist level functional and configuration support for the SAP solutions in the Procurement, Supply Chain Planning, Warehouse Management modules of ECC 6 solution. Further responsibilities include:
- Sound support and business process knowledge of Procurement, Warehouse Management, Supply Chain, Inventory, and Material Requirement Planning.
- Good configuration knowledge of Master Data (Material & Vendor Master), Procurement Process, Account Determination & Valuation of Material, Inventory Management, Invoice Verification, Material Requirement Planning
- Good understanding of configuration dependencies and integration points between separate functional modules of SAP (PS/FI-CO/MM/HR/PM)
- Work with the Service Desk and the SAP team to facilitate incident & problem resolution
This role is full time, 37.5 hours per week and can be based from any Babcock hub, including but not limited to Portsmouth, Plymouth, Bristol etc. with hybrid working arrangements.
Essential experience of the SAP Functional Analyst:
- A university degree or relevant experience in Procurement & Supply Chain or Information Management
- Hands-on Procurement, Supply Chain and Planning, Warehouse Management configuration and support experience
- Experience of Ariba or related third-party products
- Integration experience with other SAP Modules/Solutions and third-party systems
- Excellent understanding of all business processes within these modules

The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Standard (BPSS) / Security Check (SC) security clearance for this role.
