Job brief: Position- Purchasing Consultant.
Our client, UMS International Ltd., based in Leicester,UK is an established
business in Leicester city and we constantly growing due to the growing
demand in the local area. UMS International, as a business, provide
services like sales of mobiles, electronic accessories, mobile gadgets
etc. Our business is expanding and hence we are in a need of a
Purchasing Consultant to support our growing team. The candidate will
have vast experience and knowledge about Purchasing in the mobile or
electronic industry, accompanied with purchase management experience. This will
assist us, to generate revenue for the growth of the business. This
involves creating strategies that will increase strong purchase of the business, increase customer database, and grow the business to make high level of
customer service.
Duties and Responsibilities
• Identify and manage relationships with reputable mobile phone and accessory manufacturers.
•Negotiate contracts to secure the best pricing and quality.
•Conduct market research to stay updated on trends and competitor offerings, maintaining a competitive edge.
•Manage inventory levels to optimize stock turnover and minimize overstock and stockouts.
•Ensure product quality by coordinating with the quality assurance team to resolve any issues.
•Oversee the entire order management process, from initiation to delivery, ensuring timely and pristine deliveries.
•Build and maintain strong supplier relationships to ensure a continuous and reliable supply chain.
•Monitor purchasing budgets and identify cost-saving opportunities.
•Collaborate with various teams to align purchasing strategies with business objectives.
•Provide input on platform enhancements to improve user experience and security.
•Stay informed about emerging technologies and best practices to recommend improvements in purchasing processes.
• Strong communication both verbal and written.
Qualifications- The ideal candidate will have a bachelor’s degree in business administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field, with proven experience in purchasing and procurement, particularly in the technology or electronics sector. Strong negotiation, market research, and inventory management skills, along with proficiency in procurement software and e-commerce platforms, are essential.

Salary-: £ 35000 to £ 39000, depending on experience.
