Deputise for the Head of Campaigns - this will include handling of communications matters across the spectrum of internal and campaign communications on occasion On-call service - take part in an out-of-hours on-call rota to provide the Trust with 24/7 communications support.

Support the development and management of strong working relationships with communities and stakeholders including local authorities, voluntary organisations, the NHS healthcare system, community organisations and patient groups for the progression of the TLHC programme. Adopt highly innovative approaches to developing strong and meaningful relationships with stakeholders and online and offline communities including a group of community champions, leaders, or spokespeople. Manage stakeholder mapping and analysis for TLHC to identify the levels of participation, interest and influence and determine how best to involve and communicate with each community and stakeholder group. Lead and work collaboratively with teams and individuals across the organisation to support the management and interaction with communities and stakeholders. Be responsible for the collaborative working with external organisations including the local authority Healthwatch, Voluntary Action Leicester and other overarching bodies to reach out to organisations and involve them in the work of the NHS. Be responsible for seeking out and working with, local resident, and community groups to develop proactive working relationships to understand their insights and issues and influence decision making affecting their communities. Lead stakeholder meetings and events including PPG Networks, voluntary and community sector meetings and meetings with communities of interest and ensure feedback of responses are fed into the Insights and Marketing Research Hub and influence decision making and transformation. Prepare and manage workshops, roundtable discussions and forum logistics including agendas, projects plans and production of insights reports. Ensure that we capitalise from the fast-developing digital engagement world and investigate innovative digital engagement techniques and tools to improve our methods of engagement with communities and stakeholder. Provide effective leadership and management of high quality, far-reaching public engagement, and consultations in line with our statutory duties across a range of communities ensuring that activities and outcomes are legally compliant and show best practice for obtaining relevant involvement in major transformation projects. Ensure that the success of the TLHC programme in LLR is celebrated and recognised. Act as lead specialist and primary contact for all information requests around communications and engagement related to TLHCs. Ensure that reducing health inequalities and improving population health is at the heart of our communication and engagement strategy for TLHC. Ensure that all activities are documented, evaluated, and reported.

We are working in partnership with an Ofsted 'Good' Sixth Form College in Leicester who are seeking an enthusiastic and committed Media Studies Teacher to start as soon as possible. This is a full-time position until 24th May initially with the possibility to extend. To be successful, you will be a Media Studies Teacher with recent experience teaching GCSE and A Level. Experience of teaching GCSE Fast Track English, A level Media, L2 and L3 BTEC Diploma Creative Media Skills classes is desirable but not essential.

1. WHY THE POST EXISTS

Are you an experienced journalist with knowledge of business and current affairs, policy and politics? Do you have a successful background within a busy PR and marketing role? As the Chamber’s Media & Communications Manager the postholder will apply creativity and effective communication daily to positively raise the company profile.

This role will protect, build and enhance the Chamber brand while actively supporting the vision to ‘enhance East Midlands businesses and communities’. A key workstream will be the production of Chamber publications – predominantly the influential and well-respected Business Network magazine.

2. THE KEY AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY

- Developing, planning and delivering an integrated multi-channel PR and media strategy that positions the Chamber as the leading voice of business in the East Midlands and assists the Chamber in achieving its agreed three-year business plan objectives.
- Devising innovative strategies and media campaigns to support all Chamber departments and subsidiaries in order to encourage take-up of Chamber events, products and services.
- Developing news releases, authoritative comment and features and securing coverage for them in the local, regional, national and specialist trade media.

3. APPLICANTS WILL POSSESS

- An understanding of business, current affairs, policy and politics.
- Knowledge of how the media works at a local, regional and national level.
- Experience in producing copy for a wide range of publications.
- The ability to work to and achieve deadlines.
- Able to professionally deal with media enquiries and cultivate strong last relationships.
