What you'll be doing: 

The purpose of this role is to support the portfolio of STARK UK business brands from an operational marketing perspective, to drive awareness, engagement, loyalty, sales and enviable market share, so that the company achieves its ambition to be the UK's leading builders' merchant.

• Through media and industry platforms, position STARK UK, its brands and leaders in a targeted way to support the overall strategic, positioning business wins, thought leadership, community work and industry awards to build reputational credibility and trust.
• Build strong community engagement and societal reputation, as a company that cares and partners to enable meaningful positive change and wellbeing on industry-relevant platforms.
• Report on social media performance on a monthly basis in line with pre-set KPIs, ensuring activity is driving engagement and sales.
• Work closely with National Campaigns to support optimizing of social media in programmatic work.
• Work in close partnership with the business to ensure the cross-category, whole-project programmes all meet and ultimately exceed their expectations
• Develop and lead a highly effective team to work collaboratively with peers, agencies, and all stakeholders to achieve business goals.
• Utilise data and insight to shape decisions and success measures.
• Understand and consider the optimal strategic interventions and courses of action to drive account and revenue growth, as well as building brand equity and positive reputation across all STARK UK brands.

What you'll need to have: 

• Bachelor's and/or post-graduate degree or related qualification in Marketing, Commerce, Communications, social media or similar
• Experience in marketing to traditional and hard-to-reach B2B audiences, via traditional and digital media.
• High proficiency with data analysis and how to apply this to decision making and impact measurement.
• Skilled in the building and management of multi-channel social media plans that align with brand pillars and PR priorities.
• Proficiency with digital and traditional marketing communication channels.
• Solid knowledge of customer relationship and stakeholder management, and content management systems.
• Will need to be available for ad-hoc out of hours work.
• Occasional UK travel required.

Key areas of focus include brand strategy, global marketing, market research and insights, corporate communications, and high-impact campaigns.

Reporting directly to the Vice-Chancellor and President, the CCMO is a member of the University Executive Board, and he is responsible, alongside the Board, for the renewal and implementation of the University Strategy.

Communications plans and campaigns the role will be involved in the research and writing of plans and campaigns with colleagues that will lead to impactful results, meet objectives and drive improvements. Creative contents we dont have large advertising budgets in the public sector so having a Senior Communications and Engagement Officer who can take any topic and find a creative angle to help messages stand out from the crowd is invaluable. Developing our branding and style guidelines to combine creativity with effectiveness will help us to ensure our vision and voice are seen and heard effectively. Social Media the Trust actively engages with patients and communities across social media. Working with the team, the Senior Communications and Engagement Officer will plan and produce contents from operational activities and make connections to deliver an integrated approach for our communications work. The role will need to understand how to effectively engage audiences on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter and LinkedIn to deliver engaging stories and visual content to these channels that promote the reputation of the Trust and the services we provide. Digital media our website pages are viewed more than 350,000 times per month and that is why it is critical its modern, dynamic and easy to navigate. Working with clinical colleagues, the Senior Communications and Engagement Officer role will help us maintain a credible online presence, present accurate, up to date information and deliver improvements with our website supplier. Internal Communications and employee engagement support our 10,500 staff require robust and reliable communications that can support them around the clock. As a key part of our team, you will be involved in providing on the spot advice and support as inevitable operational issues arise. Team management - The Senior Communications and Engagement Officer will have supervisory responsibilities within the team, a pivotal role requiring the ability to support personal growth and respond quickly to developing issues.
