Must be practically minded and able to use conventional workshop power and hand tools, live in Oxfordshire and drive to travel to the location.

Your responsibilities will be to assist in the manufacture of products by adopting good workmanship standards and paying particular attention to quality.

• Assist in the preparation of mouldings in support of the production schedule.
• Assist in the preparation and bonding of boats.
• Assist in the cutting, grinding and flow coating of bonded boats.
• Assist in other areas of the manufacturing process as direct by your line supervisor.
• Assist in the production of sub-assemblies as and when required.
• Assist in the training of other personnel including new production operatives as required.
• Maintain workstation in a clean and tidy state.
• Operate in accordance with the company's Health and Safety procedure, and other related company policies.

Qualifications and Experience:
A good standard of general education and either qualified by experience or an Engineering BTEC Level qualifications with 1-2 years plus experience of working in a similar environment.

You need to have a can-do attitude, self-motivated and be able to work on own initiative
Problem solver, good communicator and be able to understand and communicate instructions clearly and effectively with good attention to detail. Work well alone or in a team..
Hours are Monday - Friday 7.00am - 3.00pm, salary is £25k, Bupa Healthcare, contribution pension and free parking. Due to the location you to be able to have transport.

The Clinical Trials Aseptic Service (CTAS) is responsible for aseptically preparing clinical trial doses for patients to several departments across the Trust and maintaining up to date documentation according to Good Clinical Practise (GCP).

As the Production Specialist your primary responsibility will be supporting the area teams by leading transformation activities and facilitating improvements.

You will be responsible for the optimisation of processes within existing production systems to meet requirements.

Focusing on problem resolution, you will support the production team with the solution of problems to increase production efficiency, reliability and stability.

VPS activities are an important part of the role, as such you will provide organisation and functional guidance of VPS activities and the production team to ensure the required standards are achieved.

*Educated to degree level or equivalent in appropriate discipline with related experience.
*Possessing a standard PSP qualification is beneficial.
*A sound knowledge of manufacturing including assembly techniques, problem solving skills and project planning.
*Proven ability and previous experience of leading projects combined with an capability to mentor new members within the Production Specialist team is advantageous.
