Acorn by Synergie is currently seeking a full-time, permanent, Electrical Maintenance Engineer to work for a well-established engineering and manufacturing company in Truro
Job description
You will be responsible for ensuring that all facilities and manufacturing equipment are properly serviced, maintained, and repaired as needed to support our site's machinery production
*Diagnose and repair all on-site plant / equipment, including hand tools, MIG welders, overhead cranes, plasma cutting machines, hydraulic presses, robot welders, CNC lathes / machining centres, etc.
*Install power cables and distribution boards for new equipment installations.
*Perform routine servicing and maintenance work and respond to breakdown requests from Production.
*Diagnose breakdowns of electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
*Source parts for the servicing and repair of equipment and install new parts and ensure equipment is functioning correctly.
*Assist in the installation of new factory plant / equipment.
*Handle emergencies, unplanned problems, and repairs.
*Conduct periodic testing of emergency systems, such as fire alarms and emergency lighting.
*Coordinate with outside contractors during legislative inspections, such as LOLER.
Candidate Requirements
*Possess 18th Edition qualification
*The ability to work well in a team and hold strong communication skills
*Experience with Electrical fault finding
*Experience within industrial maintenance
* Good diagnostic and problem-solving skills
Hours: Monday-Friday / 7:30-16:00
Location: Truro
Contract: Permanent
