- £37,570.35 per annum, 22.5 days annual leave, rising to 25 after 5 years’ service plus bank holidays.
Contract Type: Permanent, Full time 37.5 hours per week (excluding meal breaks)
- typical attendance will be 08:00 until 16:00 Monday to Friday however, flexibility is essential.
You will be required to join an out of hours callout rota in the future

In this role, you will be expected to have excellent technical knowledge of HVAC, lighting systems, mechanical, power and control wiring. You will be expected to work on multiple FM systems with the majority of the work being FM tasks within their core buildings and within the larger area. Air Conditioning or gas qualifications would be advantageous
You will need a flexible approach to work and be willing to travel to different sites within a specified geographical area. A vehicle will be provided for required travel. A requirement to have excellent communication and organisational skills and be able to discuss work and progress with customers and managers.

Key aspects of the role include:

- Analyse and understand complex technical issues in relation to electrical, plumbing, heating, air conditioning and lighting systems.
- Manage the delivery of planned and corrective maintenance to meet the performance measures detailed in the contract.
- Liaise with customers’ representatives on a day to day basis to ensure customer requirements are fully met.
- Check and ensure all appropriate and approved paperwork is completed.
- Make personal judgments on how to undertake work to achieve cost, quality and contractual objectives without jeopardising safety in any way
- Act as a role model for safety, setting an example to colleagues and customers
- Manage the relationship with the customer, and liaise with customers to ensure that the customer is fully informed and project a positive professional image of self and Royal Mail P&FS.

About You

- Must hold 18th Edition Electrical certification.
- NVQ level 3 or equivalent in either HVAC, service & maintenance, electrical engineering, / F-Gas / City and Guilds 2079 in Air Con and Refrigeration
- IOSH
- Ideally you will be IPAF and MEWP trained and qualified, and be comfortable working at heights
- Certified electrical qualification, 2391 electrical testing inspection (or willing to undergo training)
- Proven experience in a similar role.
- Applicants must hold a valid Full UK driving licence (no endorsements preferable) as this vacancy will involve travel within a specified geographical area.

Your Role

We are seeking to appoint an Officer with a basic level of Street Lighting experience. We are delivering an LED retrofit programme across the borough and this will continue during next financial year. The post holder will assist with the delivery programme and with lighting and highway maintenance in the future.

About You

Your Role

We are seeking to appoint an Officer with highway experience. We are delivering highway planned maintenance services (structural and preventative maintenance) across the borough and the postholder will assist with the delivery of the programme. The role also includes responsibility for the delivery of highway drainage, car park maintenance schemes, small retaining wall and safety barrier repairs.

About You

Our ideal candidate is a self-motivated individual able to work in a fast paced and changing environment. You will be capable of manging a range of footway and carriageway maintenance schemes from patching to full reconstruction works.

You will have a working knowledge of GIS systems and highway maintenance materials and design specifications. You will be required to respond to enquiries and complaints in a timely manner, produce estimates using a bill of qualities and check accuracy of accounts.

System training and support will be provided.

The successful applicant will be required to carry out daily site visits using their own vehicle and will need the necessary insurance for this type of use. The Council has a scheme in place to reimburse employees who are required to use their vehicle for business purposes.

Join our team of friendly Maintenance Operatives working mostly in the Greater Manchester and North West.

Operative must contribute to the On Call Rota - additional payments are made for on call, including generous flat rate payment and enhanced payments when called out.

About the role

We are looking for a Grounds Maintenance Operative on a permanent basis to join our Environmental Services team. This role is based in Stockport and successful candidates will work in local teams and are not required to report to a depot each day but attend when require for team meetings and replenishment of supplies.

The purpose of the role is to work as part of a mobile team to deliver a wide range of landscape maintenance and improvement works, resulting in a consistently high-quality environment, which improves our schemes and estates to create positive spaces for customers.

Carrying out grass cutting, shrub pruning, weed control and the removal of litter
Training will be given to successful applicants in all aspects of the job description.
You will be required to ensure that all works, and safety procedures are followed, and record keeping is accurate and to undertake routine maintenance checks of plant, equipment, and machinery.

What we require

Full UK Driving Licence
Previous experience in a similar ground’s maintenance, environmental services, or estates cleaning role.
Excellent customer service and communication skills
Willingness to work as part of a team.
Proactive approach to following procedure
Advantageous experience.

Ride on movers, hedge cutter, leaf blowers
PA1 and PA6 qualifications in pesticides
NVQ Level 2 in horticulture
NPTC CS30,31 Chainsaw
