The Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Hotel Maintenance Team Member to join our team. As a member of the hotel maintenance team, you will be responsible for carrying out a range of maintenance and repair work to ensure that all equipment and facilities are in good working order.

Responsibilities:

• Carrying out regular maintenance and repair work on the hotel's equipment and facilities, including plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems.
• Responding promptly to any maintenance requests or emergencies, and addressing them in a timely and efficient manner.
• Conducting regular inspections of the hotel's facilities and equipment to identify any maintenance issues and ensure that they are addressed promptly.
• Keeping accurate records of all maintenance work, including expenses, work completed, and parts used.
• Assisting with the implementation of preventative maintenance programs to ensure that all equipment and facilities are well-maintained and in good working order.
• Assisting with the management of external contractors and suppliers, including ensuring that all work is completed to a high standard and within budget.
• Adhering to health and safety guidelines and ensuring that all maintenance work is carried out safely.
• Assisting with other tasks and projects as required by the Maintenance Manager or senior management.

Your new role

Working as an Electrical Maintenance Engineer, your main duties will include:

• Monthly/Weekly pre-planned maintenance.
• Reactive duties across the building
• Managing Sub contractors who attend the building.
• Part take in a call-out rota which currently is 1/3.
• Happy to be flexible and pick up general maintenance where needed.

What you'll need to succeed

• Experience in a similar type of Electrical/Building Maintenance position.
• Level 3 Electrical Installation/or equivalent
• 17th edition or above.
• Flexibility to be on the call-out rota.

ABOUT THE ROLE

As a Head of Maintenance at a care home, you’ll make sure we have a clean and well-maintained environment so that residents feel at home and staff can do their jobs well. Creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere is part of our client's commitment to delivering first-class care and support.

You can expect plenty of variety as a Head of Maintenance. You’ll turn your hand to all sorts of tasks within the care home building as well as in the gardens and grounds. That could mean fixing a leaky tap one minute and planting some new bulbs the next. The duties will be being a charge hand leading small team and include Grass / Lawn Cutting, Edging, Strimming, Hedge cutting, Litter Picking and Weed control and all gardening/grounds maintenance duties, using mowers and powered tools.

Team leader experience and a driver's license is essential

Permanent roles are available after a successful probation period

While working with us candidates can choose to be paid £16.25 per hour with no paid holiday or £14.50 per hour with paid holidays

You will be leading a mobile team of two or three workers

The working hours are 7am to 3:30pm Monday to Friday
