Amcor is currently searching for individuals to join our Batavia production plant!
SHIFTS AVAILABLE:
12-hour 2-2-3 Straight Nights, 3pm-3am
**Training will be Mon-Fri 11pm-7am **
STARTING PAY:
$27.98/hour with $0.50 night premium!

ROLE OVERVIEW
The Maintenance Mechanic position is responsible for effectively troubleshooting, resolving and maintaining equipment that includes but is not limited to flexographic presses, extruder/laminators, and slitters as well as providing general plant maintenance.
WHAT YOU GET TO DO
- Performs preventive maintenance inspections and service on machines.
- Thoroughly cleans machines and machine parts, removing parts and reinstalling as necessary.
- Oils and lubricates moving parts on machines to ensure effective performance.
- Records and reports damaged, worn, or broken parts.
- Orders and installs replacement parts for machines.
- Identifies the causes of unexpected breakdowns of machines.
- Repairs broken machines quickly and efficiently.
- Prepares reports documenting work performed.
- Cleans, organizes, inventories, stocks, and otherwise maintains shop areas, parts, tools, and supplies.
- Coordinates with managers to schedule regular maintenance on machines.
- Collaborates with production manager or plant engineer regarding new products being added and modifications that will be required.
- Makes necessary modifications and implements tests runs; confers with production manager regarding test results and makes additional alterations to machinery as required.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.

WHAT WE WANT FROM YOU
- 6 months – 1 year prior experience working as an Operator in a manufacturing environment.
- Good computer skills
- Must have the ability to work in a team-based environment, assist others when needed and lead by example while focusing on safety, quality and productivity.
- Must believe in promoting a positive culture within the facility focused on pride, ownership and accountability
- Ability to lift, push, pull and carry up to 50 pounds on a frequent basis
- Required to stand, sit, squat, bend, walk, lift (as noted above) and climb frequently throughout the day on a daily basis
- 100% of working hours are spent in a manufacturing production environment with the majority of that time spent standing, walking and moving around the machine to operator manufacturing equipment.
- Personal protective equipment is required at all times
- Ability to quantify results, identify new opportunities, adapt to change and interface with all levels of management
