As a Prison Security Escort, you will work alongside the prison service, assisting our client who is responsible for the maintenance of the buildings. You will be a part of security team where you will escort and oversee contractors such as carpenters, plumbers and electricians, whilst they complete their maintenance work.

Duties of a Prison Security Escort Include (but not limited to)

• Checking the identification of the contractors
• Checking contractors have been briefed on security measures
• Booking in and out of the contractors
• Creating a tool list
• Escorting contractors through the prison to their place of work
• Overseeing contractors whilst they are working (Please note you will have to stay with the contractors at all times)

Apply PMVA de-escalation techniques as required up to and including application of restrains as a last resort. Undertake all relevant training to meet current and future evolving legislation. Provide escort duties as required to patients, visitors, and staff. Monitor CCTV cameras, ensuring compliance with the Code of Practice and Procedures Manual. Assist in incident investigation as directed by the Trust Security Lead Monitor associated Security equipment to identify any faults or damage and carry out basic repair/maintenance where required. Reporting faults as required Respond to reports of persons trapped in lifts, providing reassurance and assistance as required. To utilise the use of two-way radios, bleep system, telephone, and intercoms as an efficient means of communication. Undertake any further Departmental duties to reflect an effective, evolving health care service. (This may include transfer of patients and the deceased in support of the Portering function)

Experience and Qualifications  
You may already be a Security Manager which is great. Or maybe you’re an experienced Assistant Manager or Deputy Manager looking for the next step! All we are looking for is… 

- Proven experience leading large teams in a Security or similar environment 
- Experience in managing operations, performance, resources and cost control 
- Can confidently deal with Guest concerns and resolve problems 
- Excellent communication, organisational and leadership skills 
- Strong decision-making ability
- Security Industry Authority License (SIA)
- Knowledge of security protocols and procedures with experience using relevant technology and equipment
