Our client is currently seeking a Legal Secretary to provide high-level administrative support to their commercial services teams, which include insolvency, commercial litigation and debt recovery. This role involves opening files, managing legal documentation, preparing invoices, liaising with clients, facilitating counsel and communicating with the court. * Administrative Support: Provide comprehensive administrative support to the legal teams, including
* preparing legal documents, and handling correspondence.
* Document Management: Draft, format, and proofread legal documents and correspondence. Ensure
* all documents comply with legal and firm standards.
* Client Interaction: Serve as a primary point of contact for clients, managing enquiries and maintaining
* professional communication.
* File Maintenance: Organise and maintain electronic files, monitoring key dates, ensuring all records
* are up-to-date and easily accessible.
* Compliance: Open files, undertake client due diligence checks and draft client engagement documents.
* Billing and Invoicing: Assist in preparing client invoices.



**KEY REQUIREMENTS:**




* Minimum of 2 years of experience as a legal secretary, preferably in a commercial law firm.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and legal software (e.g. LexisNexis).
* Recent experience in utilising a case management system to progress files electronically.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a keen attention to detail.

Legal Assistant - Family Law Department

Reports to: Fee Earner

Location: Redditch, UK

Main Purpose:

To provide secretarial and administrative support to a Fee Earner in the Family Department.

Key Tasks (not an exhaustive list):

• Diary Management: Maintain the Fee Earner's diary, arrange meetings, and appointments.
• New Enquiries: Handle new enquiries, initiate and complete the setup of new matters, including all onboarding and due diligence processes such as identification verification and complying with anti-money laundering regulations.
• Document Processing: Diligently type, print, and process dictations. Organize, e-file, and scan documents into our Case Management System, maintaining paper files with accuracy and efficiency.
• Billing Management: Manage the billing process, including generating and coordinating invoices on a monthly basis, and chasing any outstanding payments.
• Financial Transactions: Request payments and record receipts of monies, liaising with our Accounts Team as necessary.
• File Management: Open and archive all paper and electronic files.
• Client Correspondence: Handle routine client correspondence and queries.
• Client Interaction: Attend to clients both in person and on the telephone with confidence and excellent interpersonal skills, demonstrating a high level of customer care.
• Third-Party Liaison: Deal with third-party agencies, including Counsel, Courts, Experts, and other solicitors.
• Confidentiality: Ensure the confidentiality of the client and firm's information and documentation at all times.
• Technical Proficiency: Be fully conversant with Word, Outlook, and Excel, with experience working with electronic Case Management Systems.
• General Administration: Support the general administration within the Family Law Team and Redditch office.

To be considered for this position, the successful candidate must have:

• A minimum of 2 years in family law experience
• Background in legal work (will be questioned in interview on this)

Working Hours:

• Monday to Friday, 09:00 - 17:15
• Fully office based

Holiday:

• 26 days plus Bank Holidays

Salary:

• £24,000 annum

About the job:

Keep a log of all site activity.
Complete all site security paperwork to include incident report, sign in/out sheets, patrols logs, daily logs and handover sheets.
To provide regular high profile external and internal patrols.
Secures premises and personnel by patrolling property; monitoring surveillance equipment; inspecting buildings, equipment, and access points; permitting entry.

Prevents incidents and damage by providing a visual presence and reporting all incidents to the authorities.

Complete reports by recording observations, information, occurrences, and surveillance activities; interviewing witnesses; obtaining signatures.

Overview of the position:
As the sole agency supplier to the HM Prison Service for the provision of maintenance trades & support operatives, this is a long-term temporary contract, with a starting rate of £13.68 including holiday, £12.21 excluding holiday pay.

Purpose of the Contractor Escort role:
As part of the security team you will be responsible for assisting in the safety and security of the establishment where your duties will include escorting building contractors. You will ensure the safety and security of the visitors, staff and prisoners within a Prison establishment, while persons from outside of NOMS are on site. You will also ensure that no unauthorised persons or items enter the establishment.

Experience:
No formal qualifications or previous experience is required for this role. The nature of the role requires candidates to be security conscious and able to challenge potential compromises and risks, you will also need to be reliable and consistent, level headed and have exceptional interpersonal skills. Successful applicants will have a background in customer services or security, and will be assessed based on the following competencies: Acting with integrity, respecting others, Building relationships and team working, communicating effectively, developing self and others. Full training is provided by the establishment/ department. Training time will be paid at the standard hourly rate.

Security Clearance required:
All applicants will be subject to the HM Prison Service Security Clearance procedure which can take up to 4 weeks, this can include a Disclosure Barring Service (DBS)
