This is an exciting time to be joining Renfrewshire Council. We are looking to recruit a Lead Officer for our Public Transportation and Active Travel Team. The post holder will be responsible for managing the delivery of our Capital Infrastructure projects to improve Public Transportation and Active Travel in Renfrewshire.
We are looking for someone, who is enthusiastic with the skills and experience to deliver our ambitious agenda to provide maximum economic and environmental benefit for Renfrewshire. You will have a passion for providing high quality services to the public and driving service improvements and organisational change.
Based at Renfrewshire House, Cotton Street, Paisley, you will lead a number of challenging projects and make improvements to the Renfrewshire’s transportation and active travel network.
You must have a relevant professional qualification or experience in Public Transport and Active Travel, substantial experience in multi-disciplinary project work, proven track record in strategic financial management including managing budgets across a range of diverse business units.
Understanding of strategic corporate and community planning priorities, experience of developing and implementing policies and initiatives and experience in delivering capital projects in a similar environment is essential.
You will be highly motivated and have effective organisational, time management influencing, negotiation, written, presentation and verbal communication skills, aswell as project management skills and be able to develop and sustain relationships with all relevant stakeholders.
