We are seeking an energetic Security Engineer II to serve as a technical resource and leader. This position has two components and supports both our team that Onboards new customers and our MSS team that manages security devices for our customers. 

Onboarding, 60% of this role:  this part of the position centers on security and availability of customer data as it is brought into the Proficio SIEM. The Security Engineer II will assist in working with new clients as they transition to our ProSOC service. This includes ensuring timely deployment of services, developing a personalized on-boarding strategy for each customer and auditing of systems reporting from the client to our Security Operation Center. 

MSS device configuration/maintenance, 40% of this role:  this part of the position will help ensure delivery of our Elastic Stack Managed Security Services to meet or exceed the defined service levels of our clients. The Security Engineer II will respond to customer requests and act as a trusted technical resource for our clients while striving to maintain high reliability and performance within our customer’s environments. • Providing legal counsel on a wide range of matters including contracts, regulatory compliance, and business transactions within the APAC region. 

• Researching, advising and evaluating different risk factors regarding business decisions and operations 

• Advising on healthcare and dental industry-specific regulations and ensure the company adheres to all local legal requirements 

• Specifying internal governance policies and regularly monitoring compliance 

• Support cross-functional teams in navigating legal risks and provide solutions that align with business objectives. 

• Applying effective risk management techniques and offer proactive advice on possible legal issues 

• Reviewing, drafting and solidifying agreements, contracts, and other legal documents to ensure the company’s full legal rights 

• Dealing with complex matters with multiple stakeholders, both internally and externally including external legal counsel as needed to address complex legal matters. 

• Providing clarification on legal language or specifications to everyone in the organization 

• Monitoring changes in laws and regulations across APAC countries that may impact the business. 

Qualifications: 

• Minimum 2-3 years of being a legal advisor 

• Proven experience as a Legal Counsel in business environment, startups experience is an added advantage.

• Hands-on experience within the dental or healthcare industry 

• Excellent knowledge and understanding of corporate law and procedures, across APAC regions 

• Full comprehension of the influences of the external environment of a corporation 

• Demonstrated ability to create legal defensive or proactive strategies 

• High degree of professional ethics and integrity 

• Sound judgment and ability to analyze situations and information 

• Outstanding communication skills 

• BSc degree in Law or J.D. degree

The Role

As a Legal Intern at Love, Bonito, you will play a pivotal role in driving the success of both local and international legal initiatives. Working very closely with our Legal Counsel, you will have the opportunity to deep dive into legal matters and gain deep insights of the ins and outs of a legal function in a fast-growing retail company. You will also have first hand experience collaborating with and managing stakeholders of all levels and across all markets. We promise it will be an exciting, challenging and hands-on experience!

Main Responsibilities:

• Contract review: Assist in reviewing and proofreading agreements and legal documents.
• Administrative support: Perform administrative tasks, such as assisting with contracts process and signing, maintaining legal databases, tracking deadlines, and managing legal documents and files.
• Legal research: Provide legal research support on various issues including regulatory compliance, contract interpretation and case law 
• Compliance: Assist with ensuring that the organization complies with relevant laws and regulations by tracking changes in the legal landscape and helping to develop compliance programs and policies.
• Data Privacy and Security: Support efforts to maintain data privacy compliance
• Policy Development: Contribute to the development and implementation of internal policies and procedures to ensure legal and ethical business practices.
• Assisting in all key legal-centric projects

Other Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Law
• Based in Singapore / Malaysia / Hong Kong
• Prior experience in a legal environment would be an advantage
• Fresh graduates are welcome to apply
• Able to commit to a minimum of 3 months (6 months would be ideal)
