Approved Premises (APs) contribute to the effective risk management of people released from prison by providing an enhanced level of supervision, monitoring and rehabilitation within the community.The post requires experience of working with complex and vulnerable people and an understanding of residential setting within the Criminal Justice System. The role will be required to carry out the following responsibilities, activities and duties:

• Assist in the supervision of residents in accordance with policy and practice under the direction and guidance of managers and relevant staff where necessary. Deal with routine issues raised by residents on a day-to-day basis.
• Staff and supervise the Approved Premises during designated shifts, referring serious incidents to designated on-call Manager and adhere to the procedure of completing incident reports as necessary.

• Contribute to the maintenance of a healthy, safe and productive work environment, including familiarising and using appropriate health and safety equipment. Monitor and record Health and Safety checks and related issues.
• Report any maintenance or security issues in accordance with procedures.
• Conduct curfew checks, wellbeing checks, fire alarm tests, room searches, clearing of residents’ room as required and monitor CCTV equipment.
• Maintain an active presence in the AP at all times. Regularly engage with residents in a pro-social manner. Contribute towards the protection of residents, e.g. monitor in line with risk assessments.
• Support the arrangement and delivery of purposeful activities for residents within the premises and undertake effective induction of residents.

Main Duties

Job Overview

-To protect our customer's property, people and/or assets by providing security services in direct accordance with the sites published Assignment Instructions (AI's) and any subsequent changes.

-Delivering results that meet and / or exceed the Key performance indicators / Service Level Agreement for the customer through full responsibility and accountability, providing a service that aids in the retention of the contract.

-To undertake additional training to ensure continuous self-development.



Operations

-To be aware of and ensure compliance with all aspects of policies and relevant legal and regulatory requirements as directed by the Security Account Manager and in accordance with UK Law and Guidance bodies.

-Fully and satisfactorily complete all of the tasks and duties on site as defined within the published Assignment Instructions (AI's).

-Proactively refer to and review the published Assignment Instructions, thus familiarising oneself with any changes in order to suggest additional amendments that will improve or enhance the current level of service.

-To be compliant with Industry and Statutory Legislation (you are required to obtain a front-line licence in either Security Guarding or Door Supervision), which must be worn at all times whilst carrying out your duties. The Customer also requires a CCTV PSS SIA Licence. There are also additional courses that are contractually required.

-Comply with legal obligations and safety requirements of the role.

-Follow instructions and procedures appropriately without unnecessarily challenging authority.

-Work in a systematic, methodology and orderly way.



Training

-Fully and satisfactorily complete all required competency training.

-To undertake additional training to ensure continuous self-development as directed by the Security Account Manager.

-Use technology to achieve key work objectives and develop job knowledge and expertise through continual professional development.

-You are required to ensure you renew your licence 16 weeks before expiry.



Security and Health & Safety

-Look out for, and to immediately report, any Health & Safety hazards, or potential hazards, on site.

-Stay alert to any threats or changes within the work environment in order to take the appropriate action to reduce the chance of disruption, loss or damage.

-Use common sense and initiative by immediately involving others if a situation appears to become threatening.

-To maintain professional conduct in the face of difficult situations and challenging customers.

-Complete an accurate, detailed notebook entry as soon as possible after any incident, which can then be used as part of the Incident Report process.

-Keep to schedules and demonstrate commitment to Mitie and the Client.

-To ensure check calls are being carried out at the allocated time slot as stipulated in the Assignment Instructions (AI's).

-To call emergency services and Communication Centre to report all incidents.

Your new role
You will primarily be responsible for corporate assets and buildings, health and safety procedures, compliance, and security soft services provision across the estate.

Your job role will break down into 2 main categories:
1. Be directly responsible for on site security and front of house team across the estate
2. Be the lead for all estate H&S issues, and help implement all H&S policies

This is a rotational RGN role within a busy remand prison. You will be expected to cover medication administration, triage, and emergency care alongside your role as Public Health Nurse. This is a crucial role within the team, with exposure to various different areas of healthcare. Hours: This role is offered on a full time basis, 37.5 hours per week. Shifts are on a rotational basis, including weekends, nights and bank holidays. Example shifts are: 07:00 - 20:00, 08:00 - 21:00, 09:00 - 22:00, 19:45 - 07:30 Salary: This position is full time, youll receive an annual salary up to £38,115 per annum FTE - depending on experience. Ensure that health and safety guidelines are followed when performing training for staff. 10. Take responsibility for own development through personal development programme process. 11. Plan and organise training both in-house and externally to identified staff or areas. 12. Assist with developing and maintaining links with outside agencies and other high secure hospitals in relation to training or security equipment development. 13. Must have significant demonstrable experience in a high secure setting and understand the procedures and protocols required to maintain current security levels. 15. Liaise with on site maintenance staff with regard to training relevant to their role. 16. This is an exciting opportunity for a Campus Support Team Leader (Security) to join the Campus Support Team within Campus Services at Liverpool John Moores University. The team provides 24/7 security and out of hours services to a range of campus areas spread across the city of Liverpool. Reporting to, and deputising for, the Campus Support Supervisor, you will lead one of four shifts of Campus Support Officer's. This will be via a 'continental' style rotating 12-hour shift pattern ensuring a vibrant, safe, secure, customer centric campus in which to study, work and visit.

For this role it is essential that you hold a full UK driving licence (maximum of 3 penalty points). You will also be required to demonstrate flexibility due to the shift pattern and respond to variations in business patterns in support of colleagues and customers.

You will have experience working in a customer focussed role previously ideally within a team providing FM related services or similar. Ideally you will have supervisor or line management experience. You may also have experience of higher education security, incident management, or student related services but above all you will be able to demonstrate a flexible, can-do attitude and be able to relate well to our staff and students in what can be difficult and challenging situations.

You will be able to deliver a proactive campus support function with a focus on student wellbeing, incident response and campus security. A positive proactive, flexible and customer focused approach to different tasks and situations is imperative, ensuring the highest quality service of themselves and their team.

Due to the location of the University Campuses across the city, this is a driving position and you will require a full UK driving licence with a maximum of 3 penalty points.
