40 Hour Security Guard – Permanent Contract


We are looking to recruit a 40 Hour Security Guard on a permanent contract to work at our Head Office, located at Lynstock House, Lynstock Way, Lostock, Bolton BL6 4SA.

The proposed shift pattern is:

Monday to Friday 14:00-22:30 (with a daily 30 minute unpaid break)

The role of the Security Guard is to protect the company’s premises, contents and people. They will be responsible for ensuring that both staff and visitors feel secure and safe while on site.

We are looking for an individual who will be flexible with working hours, occasionally working on a weekend for cover, or working earlier for business needs.

As a Security Guard, key responsibilities include monitoring the site CCTV system, acting as Banksman for HGV deliveries, patrolling the site as directed by management, liaising with management on the daily requirements, carrying out bag, vehicle, locker and personnel searches, ensuring all employees and visitors are working in a safe environment and are correctly accounted for on site and any other tasks as reasonably requested by line management.

You will be expected to be proactive and take initiative to identify problems, and complete tasks without requiring instruction or guidance from a supervisor or manager.

The successful candidate must have previous experience as a security guard, able to pass a satisfactory DBS check, have the ability to be resourceful and proactive and hold the capacity to work largely on own initiative. Although not essential, the security guard will also be first aid trained and be willing to work overtime when required.

THE ROLE
You will be part of our Security team. Your main duties will include (but not be limited to):
* Supervise the main entrance at the gatehouse, ensuring only authorised personnel may enter the Bakery compound;
