Job Purpose:

You will deliver the engineering activities within your allocated Operational team. You will undertake the delivery of Construction and Maintenance requirements relating to the UK Power Networks Services owned assets, customer owned assets and associated infrastructure in the Stansted Regional Area under the direction of the Lead Operational Engineer.

You will deputise for the Lead Operational Engineer including attendance at Client and Contractor meetings.

You will work with the Assistant Operational Engineers, Technicians, Apprentices and Contractors to undertake and complete the construction or maintenance activities in a safe and efficient manner whilst minimising disruption to our client electricity supplies.

You will ensure delivery of Client-focused Capital works Construction projects, NAMP and maintenance plans as directed by the Lead Operational Engineer, oversee the management of substation and cabling construction and maintenance works on designated Client private networks Infrastructure. The position holder will work with team members to ensure standards of safety management are maintained throughout all activities during the delivery of the engineering tasks observing the UK Power Networks Services Stay Safe initiative.

Principal Accountabilities:

• Delivery of the Construction and Maintenance programmes for the UK Power Networks Services owned assets and customers assets operating at voltages through the range 33kV to 400V.
• Work with the Lead Operational Engineer to ensure that all programmes of work are delivered to time and budget following contractual commitments to time, cost and quality.
• Work with Technicians and Apprentices to ensure the delivery of all engineering activities.

Qualifications:

Essential

• Senior Authorised Person as defined by the Distribution Safety Rules.
• Experience in distribution systems through the range 33kV to 400V.
• Security clearance for Client infrastructure Access.
• Medical & Drugs and Alcohol screening.
• Educated to HNC level qualification in Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience.

This role will provide highly specialist assessment and intervention to mothers and their infants The role with the Perinatal Mental Health Service (PMHS) will be to provide evidence based perinatally informed psychological therapies to mothers through pregnancy, birth and the postnatal period up to the infant age of 2 years. The role also requires the delivery of supervision and consultation to the PMHS as well as supporting the ongoing service development of both perinatal psychology and the perinatal service. There will be an expectation for the postholder to lead on pathway and interface development with local stakeholders and partner agencies. The postholder will provide clinical leadership and support to the PMHS and support the development of junior psychologists and non psychology staff. There is also an expectation to support the PMHS with staff wellbeing initiatives through the use of reflective groups and teaching and upskilling of work stress resilience approaches.

PMHS consists of five perinatal hubs with a staff mix comprising of Nursing, Psychiatry, Psychology as well as MDT skill mix of Nursery Nursing, OT and social work. The Perinatal Mental Health Service provides maternal mental health and wellbeing support to mothers and their infants across Essex. Pregnancy and the transition to parenthood are recognised as a time when mental health difficulties and relationship stress can occur. Experience of pre-existing trauma as well as trauma during the perinatal period can have a significant impact on the experience of becoming a mother. Psychological interventions which are specific, effective, and valued by women can support them with such difficulties; reducing distress and health care costs, whilst increasing physical and psychological wellbeing.

Perinatal Psychology is a flourishing and exciting field to work in and there will be highly specialised therapeutic trainings and supervision available to the successful candidates, including trauma-focused and parent-infant focused models.

We would welcome candidates with prior perinatal experience but also welcome those who have an interest and are looking to develop their skills in perinatal approaches. There will also be consideration given to less experienced psychologists looking to develop the requisite skills and experience of an 8a banding through a preceptorship program.

There will significant opportunities to develop your supervision, teaching and consultation skills and to further develop the psychology service to meet the needs of mothers and their infants. Job Title: Residential Family Support Worker
Location: Harlow
Salary: £11.50 - £13.00 per hour
Job Type: Full-time (40 hours per week)
Schedule: 12-hour shifts, including weekends and bank holidays

About the Role: Our client, an independent Family Assessment Centre, is seeking a dedicated Residential Family Support Worker to join their team in Harlow. This role involves providing safety, support, and guidance to families undergoing parenting assessments, ensuring they meet the targets outlined in their placement plans. You will play a key role in observing and recording parental interactions while working closely with a multidisciplinary team to help families reach their full potential.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support parents and children in a residential setting, encouraging positive behaviours and key life skills.
• Collaborate with social workers, healthcare professionals, and legal services to assist families in meeting their goals.
• Monitor and record parental interactions, providing feedback to the Lead Assessment Social Worker.
• Safeguard children at all times within the family centre.
• Facilitate contact between families and their children, as well as assist families with appointments.
• Conduct parenting sessions and promote positive behaviour management strategies.
• Maintain accurate, up-to-date records on family progress.
• Work shifts as part of a 24-hour shift pattern, including weekends and bank holidays.
• Undertake any other duties, including domestic tasks such as cooking and cleaning, to assist in the day-to-day functioning of the centre.

Requirements:

• Resilience and motivation, with a calm and adaptable approach.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• IT literacy and the ability to follow instructions.
• Flexibility to work shifts, including weekends and holidays.
• Level 3 Diploma in Health and Social Care is desirable but not essential (willingness to work towards this qualification is required).
• Experience working with vulnerable children and adults is desirable but not essential (full training provided).
• Must hold business insurance on your car and be willing to transport families as needed.
• A valid DBS (preferred).

Specialist Supporting Families Worker

Fixed Term, Full Time

£30,931 to £35,362 Per Annum

Location: Harlow

This is an exciting role as part of a busy team working with families who have complex needs in line with the criteria within the Supporting Families and Early Help agenda. This role requires autonomy and good recording skills where assessments and plan from an integral part of our work here.

Interview Date: Monday 25th November 2024, in person at our Harlow office.

As a highly autonomous community-based worker you hold a case load and be working in family homes, schools, and community bases with the option to complete administrative work at home or in our office conveniently located in the centre of Harlow. You will hold a caseload of approx. 10 families with complex needs and be responsible for affecting change.

You will be expected to be in the office for some meetings, to cover duty one day every other week and to collaborate with other workers in line with your specialist role sometimes. Parking is available free of charge and mileage expenses are renumerated.

The role - overview:

The work of a Specialist Children and Family Worker is a varied and rewarding supporting children and families with many different types of complex need.

Key aspects of the work include:

• Working closely with families to build strong relationships with all family members across a broad range of issues.
• Promoting positive change with families.
• Provide both practical and specialist advice as well acting as a lead coordinator for other support services
• Managing your own caseload
• Managing safeguarding risks to children
• Taking the lead on an area of professional practice supporting the design and delivery of parenting programmes and intervention for the team through supporting team members, and liaising with professionals outside of Family Solutions
• You will be expected to operate flexibly to meet needs of the families with some work taking place out of normal office hours
• You will work across West Essex in Harlow, Epping Forest, Saffron Walden and Brentwood

About you:

• Significant practical experience of working with adults, children, and young people with complex needs such as trauma, substance misuse and domestic abuse.
• Educated to degree level or equivalent by experience in relevant area which in this case is Parenting .
• Effective communication skills with a range of children, families, and professionals.
• Ability to keep records on our computer-based system, complete assessments and other key documents in a way which is accessible to children and families, yet professional.

The role requires you to be mobile throughout a wider operational area including travelling around the county of Essex and beyond, transporting service users and their belongings and to be able to do so in an emergency. Driving licence and car or the ability to meet the mobility requirements of the role through other means is essential.
