Finance Assistant

The Client:
Our client is a well-established accountancy firm, specialising in audit, bookkeeping, payroll, VAT, and other financial services.
The Role:
As a Finance Assistant, you will managing daily transactional finance activities and supporting the finance manager with various projects.
Responsibilities:
- Communicate with clients to follow up on overdue invoices.
- Resolve client invoice queries in collaboration with internal teams.
- Reconcile payments across bank accounts, credit cards, and petty cash using Xero Accounting Software.
- Create sales invoices and credit notes with Xero and IRIS.
- Post supplier invoices and organise payments.
- Deposit cheques and process card payments.
- Record expenses.
- Establish and manage direct debit mandates.
- Supply financial information to colleagues.
- Handle client money in compliance with regulations.
Requirements:
- Previously worked as a Finance Assistant orin a similar role.
- Possess relevant experience and qualifications.
- Skilled with Xero Accounting Software.
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to reconcile payments and manage various financial transactions.
- Knowledge of regulations related to handling client money.
